This is my MIL's car. It was purchased new by her elderly mother who lived in AZ. At the time, my GMIL needed a new reliable car during the period that my MIL was caring for her. My MIL has never been a confident driver and as a result avoided driving unless it absolutely necessary (groceries, Dr's appt's). After my GMIL passed away, we brought the car back to IL, where it was driven by my FIL, on rare occasion because he had his own vehicles. On one such occasion, while they were running errands, they were sideswiped.. There were no physical injuries to any passengers but there was damage to the Driver's side. My FIL drove the car back to his home in Lombard, IL with the intention of having it repaired on his own. Unfortunately, his health was already in decline and he never got around to it prior to his death in 2011. So, here we are today. My MIL does not need this car or the headache of getting it fixed. She has requested that I list the vehicle to be sold "as is". This is my evaluation of the vehicle: Driver side door smashed & windshield cracked. The rest of the car appears in good shape, Newer tires (under 200 miles on them). Engine seems great, but wont run due to possible fuel system problem, pump, filter, or pressure regulator. I'm not sure which and don't have the time to further investigate the problem. Needs a battery ~ Car was driven home after accident, so I know it's driveable. No drivers window ***The vehicle is sold "AS IS" with ALL faults, but without limit to those described.***I am a not a licenced mechanic, so any current or additional defects which may be discovered by any new owner are the responsibility of the buyer.
