Up for sale is my 1968 VW bus. I bought this bus from the second owner. It was first purchased on Oct. 29,1968 in North Hollywood, California. The gentleman was an engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena, and from the stories told to me, the bus was a well loved member of his family, going on camping trips, boy scouts trips, etc. It has also become a good pal of mine, taking me on my drive to work everyday and being used for Sunday cruises with the wife. I have a newer car now and need the garage space (this bus has never slept outside in my care) so I have to part with it. Its 100% original California (with black plates), original paint and everthing, I have the original owners manual with service stamps. Its 95% rust free with some small spots on the floor pan in the front, as shown in pictures, very minor surface rust elsewhere but nothing major, the nose is nearly perfect. Chasis numbers match owners manual. Runs great with a 1600cc dp, no issues, only 132123 miles on it. New brakes and cylinders and new tires. Front end redone except ball joints which are not an issue for driving but will need attention soon. Also includes: Original luggage rack and wood surf racks (both shown in different pics).
