idaholc Store 1958 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Holiday Hardtop Kizoa slideshow: 1958 Oldsmobile - Slideshow This is a beautiful example of what they called the “KING OF CHROME” in 1958. These Oldsmobiles exemplify the 1950’s Detroit Iron and this is one of the finest you will find. This car is not a trailer queen. All cars should be driven, and when you drive this one, it starts, drives and stops fine, rides like the Queen Mary and makes you feel like a King and makes the peasant's heads snap. Folks have seen many tri-five Chevrolets, but not many have seen one of these. For you purists who look for everything to be correct and perfect, this is not a show car in the purest sense. The paint is an older Lacquer in the original color “Alaskan White” and is very serviceable. The chrome is very nice as is the stainless trim. The new vinyl and dogtooth tweed interior is not show correct but beautiful. This is a 10 footer. The car is perfect from that distance but like many of us she shows some wrinkles real close up. The 371 Rocket Engine has less than 2,000 miles on a fresh rebuild and produces 305HP through it’s Rochester 4bbl carb. It has the JetAway Hydramatic transmission. Since I purchased this car in very good condition I have made additional improvements listed here: - All New Upholstery. Size of cigarette pack, resides in glove box. - Kick Panel mounted 6” Infinity Speakers The odometer reads a little over 50,000 miles but I would guess that it has turned over - I just don't know!
