Vehicle Detail
This Mercedes-Benz C-230 Kompressor is in wonderful condition. We only bought it about 6 months ago. Car-Fax shows no crashes or any issues (we took it to Car-Max to see). The vehicle is a golden color with a tan interior. It runs smoothly and never had a mechanical issue with it, EVER. The only thing we had a problem with was a squealing in the brakes (fixed now, OVER fixed actually) we took it to a brake repair place and I told them the front brakes were making a squeal. They said the front brakes looked fine and it was the back brakes. I said fine, they know best. The replaced ALL the parts of the rear brakes (not sure if it is disks or pads) but the replaced the calipers, disks, etc - EVERYTHING with the rear brakes was replaced. Even on the ride back to our home you could still hear it. They said it would take a day or two to kick in, after a week we brought it back and they said it was the front brakes (like I had originally told them) and they said they could fix it and wanted more money. I was like screw that and took it to Pep-Boys. They did the same thing, replaced EVERYTHING with the brakes so now the front and rear brakes are brand new. We then replaced the tires (all 4) so the car has 4 new tires and brakes. Just like new. We live EXTREMELY close to our jobs (less than 4 miles round trip) and I take city transit (the Metro-rail - Miami traffic is one of the worst in the country) but my wife can drive to work driving on our road straight 2 miles to her work and 2 miles back. All our shopping is within 1/2 miles so we walk or occasionally drive the car, but when we bought the car it had 150491 miles listed (that was 6 months+ ago, almost 8 months have gone by now) now the odometer only reads 155,598 which is very little over the course of 8 months (approximately 22 miles a day on average). We have had the oil, lube, filter and general service done on schedule every-time. The car looks absolutely beautiful fresh from a car wash. We get compliments all the time. We LOVE this car. The vehicle is mechanically in tip top condition, it is aesthetically in excellent condition, both interior and exterior (see images) Oh, the vehicle has tinted windows as well (you should be able to tell from the photos). This is not something we want to sell. Selling to obtain money for a child custody battle so we have to let it go and scale down to a less 'flashy' vehicle and obtain a more 'family oriented' vehicle. Full Disclosure: There is 1 item which should be fixed. It is a minor issue and fixing it is not necessary for the car to look and operate properly (as we have yet to do it, just been procrastinating, plus we haven't even needed the problem fixed) and it should not cost more then $100 to fix the problem. The problem is with the rear left window regulator needs replacing. Not off-track as in you can tell by looking at it, it is closed and you can't tell (unless you use the power window switch for the back passenger side window and role it down, then you will see, and then you would have to pull it back up. But I haven't needed to role it down so it hasn't been an issue - thats why I have put that off as well.) You could possibly maneuver it on track but the replacement part new is about $60 or less if you buy it here on eBay and a mechanic would install it for between $25 and $50. So we are talking $100 to fix that and its not even necessary as the A/C is super cold and no need to role down the rear windows (or any windows really) The rest of the car is in excellent condition. The engine performance, the braking ability, the tires and their superior road gripping. The airbags all work, the seat belts all work, the radio all works, all the gauges work, the power windows work, the power anti-lock brakes work, etc. This is a super safe and super dependable car. NEVER had any issues with it starting RIGHT up, never had it break down on us. We even have triple A (AAA) and NEVER had to use them (feels like we wasted our money except for the hotel and attraction discounts) Mercedes don't seem to break down mechanically. All in all this is an amazing vehicle that will turn heads. Many times I have people ask me about my car and tell me it is very pretty. One thing to keep in mind is to always wash it and if yo have the means get it detailed at least once a month and take it to supreme car washes once or twice a week. It keeps it looking in 'brand new' condition. I get more looks and more responses to my car the cleaner it is. If you let dirt pile up on it no one notices it. I haven't noticed a high insurance rate on it. Maybe because of the age. Also, it takes only SUPREME gasoline. But goes QUITE a ways on it. It can get 14 to 15 Gallons of gas in the tank and can reach 325+ miles on a full tank depending on highway/city driving. Finally, like I said. We do NOT want to sell the car, but family is first and we have to get custody back from our children due to what the mother has been doing in the last few months (drugs, violence, gun possession, etc.) so I am pretty much sacrificing everything. If you look at my eBay sales record the last few weeks I have sold most of my most valuable possessions. My Kindle and accessories, my wife's Kindle and accessories, our Sony GoogleTV, etc. Family first. I can always re-buy these things later. This is a REALLY amazing deal for this vehicle. Just the tires and wheels being new will save you from replacing them for years and would have cost you over (or depending where you live) $1500+/- so you save that much already. We are even selling it for almost $1000 less than what we spent between the cost, tax, tag, and title. so that like $2500 savings you get (or $2500 we are losing selling it this cheap) I will take offers but won't accept anything low accept for the last resort. Good luck and happy bidding/buying/offering. P.S. I would even entertain trading an excellent running less expensive vehicle like a family van and discount the price of this vehicle accordingly. In any event I would prefer someone local or at least an agent for the buyer to be local to pay with a cashiers check/money order as opposed to online credit card transactions for obvious reasons. If someone local buys it (or someone sends a local agent in their stead) they can test drive it, have a mechanic look it over, and confirm they are getting exactly what they are paying for. This is also for local pickup, if you want to have it freight shipped to you that is fine, but you arrange and pay for the freight shipping and take on all responsibility for damage in transit. The best scenario is a local buyer or their agent and if an agent have the agent drive the car to you (this car could drive from here to Washington State with no problem.) or at east the agent can test drive it to confirm it is exactly as described. We left nothing out of the description. Feel free to ask any questions
