1966 Pontiac GTO Not a Barn find but a Real long lost storage unit Find. Pictures tell the truth. I wish everyone could experience the feeling you get when you are invited to see an old car in storage. Once the door opens... then the revealing of a prize jewel like this one becomes real life reality. An historical true muscle car that only a few get to experience a moment like this. I have owned many of the same year make and model. When I looked this car over it appears to have all number matching parts. I have taken many pictures of this car. Few are shown but, more can be sent upon your request. Please ask before 24 hours of end of auction. This True GTO has been in storage for 31 years. It will need some work to get in driving condition. This car will need to be trailer. Upon keeping this car in dry storage. I have decided to sell due to having to many projects to work on. One being my 66 GTO convertible needing extra money to finish. My lost is your gain. The engine is a ( YS code 389 ) Duel exhaust w manifolds ( no headers ). 2 speed Automatic transmission w/console. Open rear differential with date code not provided in pictures. 4 core radiator w/ fan shroud. Fan shroud is a rare part to find with no cracks or breaks like the one this car has. Lower radiator air pan that I have never seen to remain on a car for one reason or anther. Many original parts are still remaining that is very surprising to me due to, This car is almost 50 Years old and all parts is still intact as it was from the factory. The Air Conditioner still has pressure on the system. The interior is in excellent condition. Has a AM radio with FM converter. Needs a head liner. Car is a Florida car, straight body, only dent is in the front nose piece. Has rust is areas shown in pictures that are the worst spots. There are other areas smaller than in pictures. The trunk pan is in good shape with surface rust. Front and rear floor pan is in excellent shape upon view of underside of car. Most cases the trunk or floor pans have had some repair work or need repairs. Here they look to be very solid. All tires were dry rotted. I found tires that hold air to get car out of storage for pictures. Two of the four are steel chrome mags that are a lone from a friend. They do not go with the sale of car. I will provide all 4 standard rims with hub cap no extra charge. If you want all chrome mags, I can sell at an low addition cost. Ask for a quote. In addition of car sale, It comes with Pontiac protection plan w/owners protect-o-plate, owners manual, extras optional pamphlet. Owners personal maintenance/repair record report. How cool is that.
