Vehicle Detail
1952 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Barn Find. It has been sitting for 20 years, or more, in a barn in South West Ohio and is just now available for purchase. I have a clean and clear Ohio Title for the truck. The Truck has layers of old Paint. The original color is under there, somewhere, but none of the current pain is original. It may have originally been white, like the interior. This Truck has never been restored, as far as I know. Recently, it got a new Starter, Fuel Pump, Fuel Lines, Battery, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Lines and Master Cylinder. It now runs, drives and has brakes. This truck has a cool worn two tone look everyone is looking for in a Vintage F-1. The Body on this truck is good. There are some dents, dings, scratches, patches and minor rust. The faded paint and dings add to the shop worn look. The Truck has it's original Flathead L-6 Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission with the shifter on the Column. The Engine starts easily and runs and idles. It has exhaust, so it is pretty quiet and sounds good. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears. The Truck has a 12 Volt Battery and 12 Volt Alternator. The charging system must be working, because I have started it many times and never charged the battery. There is a voltage reducer, in the cab to step down the voltage for the 6 volt lights and gauges. Some of the Gauges work and some don't. This truck is pretty solid. The Cab Floor is solid. The Cab is pretty solid. The Dashboard is solid. The Original Seat has been replaced with a Split Bench Seat. I have no idea what this seat is out of, but it looks nice and is in good condition. The Cab Corners are good. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. The Doors are both good, but both are missing the steel inside panels. The Windshield is Good. The Rear Window is cracked. The Doors open and close and latch well. The Running Boards have been altered to remove the raised ridges. I do not know if this was a custom touch or if someone was trying to eliminate rust. Either way, it worked. They aren't rusty. The Front Fenders both look good, but have dings, scratches and rust in them. The Hood is good and has nice Stainless Steel Trim and a cool old Hood Ornament. The Grill is Chrome and in good condition. It is not show quality Chrome, but looks very good. The Front Bumper is good. The Rear Bumper is a piece of heavy gauge Stainless Steel. The Rear Fenders are good but have dents, dings, rust, scratches and patches. The Bed of the Truck has what appears to be 1" x 6" lumber for the floor with Stainless Steel Strips. The Tail Gate is missing. This would be a good truck to restore or just drive it as it is and enjoy. The truck has a set of 15" aftermarket Aluminum wheels. I do not have the Center Caps. The tires are worn, but are in good enough condition to use. Because the Truck hasn't been on the road in years, I am advising the new owner to tow it home. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
