Vehicle Detail

1968 Dodge Dart GTS "resto mod" 360 V8 5-speed VIN LL21B8E174204 Original 225 slant-6 car Original California car - no rust ANYWHERE! Recent restomod Mopar Performance 360 crate motor Keisler Engineering 5-speed overdrive Tremec manual transmission 8.75 Sure Grip 3.55 rear axle Air Conditioning Front power disc brakes Manual steering Bucket seats Here's a YouTube video walkaround of the car: http://youtu.be/ZwtorXveWf4 I bought the car from a close friend in 2010. He bought it from the owner of a local body shop who performed the resto mod. Besides replacing a header gasket and installing Stage 8 locking header bolts, the car has needed nothing since I took ownership. The odometer reads 3,707 miles, which to my knowledge was reset to 0 when the resto mod was performed. I've driven it up and down California's coastal Highway 1, cruised Napa & Sonoma Wine Country, toured California's Gold Country on Highway 49, and daily driven it to work on nice days. It loafs along on the highway effortlessly at 1700rpm in 5th with the A/C on, but it loves a downshift to 3rd to lay some rubber. Perfect car for car shows or a trip to Hot August Nights! It's been terrifically reliable - all the bugs seem to have been worked out of it. Don't trailer it home - drive it cross country with confidence and enjoy the scenery! Auction includes a front bench seat (in need of restoration), a few miscellaneous parts, and the original California black & yellow license plates. Known issues: Trunk lid could be realigned better. Faint driveline vibration at 100+mph. Rear tires (245/60R15) rub the fender slightly when cornering with passengers in the rear seat. Very small dent in the roof that wasn't fixed before the car was repainted. Windshield wiper linkage rubs A/C duct behind the dash when the wipers are turned on.On Jun-13-12 at 21:41:37 PDT, seller added the following information: 1968 Dodge Dart GTS "resto mod" 360 V8 5-speed VIN LL21B8E174204 Original 225 slant-6 car Original California car - no rust ANYWHERE! The driver's side door key lock doesn't match the ignition and passenger's side door.
