Vehicle Detail
Here we have a 99 Dakota extended cab, 3.9 V6, 5 speed manual transmission. I purchased this truck from a local police department impound auction after it was seized during an arrest. Per their policy, when a vehicle is sold by the police department, it is given a salvage title. You will need to check with your state regarding titling and registering, but in Ohio you'll need to have it inspected by the highway patrol, and they'll issue a clear ohio title that is marked "rebuilt salvage". The truck starts great, runs smooth and seems to drive ok. I bought it for some tools and a utility cap that was mounted on the truck, but don't need the truck. We've just driven it around the yard hauling lumber and garden supplies from the barn. There's a light puff of smoke and a lifter tick when it first starts after sitting for several days, but once its running there's no noise and it runs smooth. Still has quite a bit of power too. Clutch and trans feel great, despite having 209,640 miles. Rear window is broken, passenger window regulator needs attention (window will stay in the up position though). Interior is typical for a work truck but not ripped up. Brakes feel ok, tires 50% or less, tailgate works, and it has a bedliner. There are several rust bubbles visible in pictures, a dent on the passenger car/bedside that's been previously repaired, dent in passenger lower bumper corner. Has tilt, am/fm radio, AC (blows warm?), cloth seats, 5 spoke aluminum wheels. Has a newer heavy duty battery. This truck would make someone a great work truck, and is hard to find with the 5 speed and aluminum wheels. Starting bid is scrap price, so someone could get a great deal. Title is notarized and ready to transfer. Located in New Richmond, Ohio, near Cincinnati on the east side. Feel free to email questions or to schedule a visit.(lumber not included)
