Up for bid with a "low reserve" is a 1987 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. This car is equipped with a 307 V8 4BBL Quadrajet. AM/FM cass, A/C, Cruise, Power Windows/Seats, Power Sliding Sun Roof. The cars history is that its a 82,000 one owner, all original. My neighbors grandfather bought this car brand new, and always keep it garaged and pampered. Its very bright original white paint is very glossy and eye catching. The plush velour burgandy interior is very nice and clean, and has no cracks or rips. The headliner material has been removed though and needs new. The car has been off the highway since 2001, except to circle the block occasionaly. The car is 25 years old though and needs some minor attention. I am no professional mechanic but the following is my honest description. The carb needs rebuilt or replaced ($215 will get a new reman quad). A/C needs recharged, brakes are good but need bleed off. The car starts and the engine sounds good. I just replaced the belts and bought a new battery. Transmission shifts smoothly. No leaks from either . Suspension and steering is tight and rides very smooth. Tires have good tread. . Exhaust is in good shape except for the convertor, I removed it out and replaced with a piece of exhaust flex pipe. Car has very little rust and what is present is inside the door jams.( mainly drivers door) The trunk is damaged due to some vandels failed attempt to break into it. The Body is very solid and accident free. Doors shut smoothly. All glass is unscratched or chipped and looks new. Overall a very good looking solid car. I would love to keep it but I am getting to many cars and not enough time to get this car 100% right. 1987 was the last year of the rear wheel drive V8 Cutlass. Alot of these cars anymore are altered and not in original condition. book values on these cars are going nothing but up. NADA avg condition is $5300 and high is $7625.
