Vehicle Detail

1952 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Barn Find. It has been sitting for about 20 years in a barn in North East Ohio and is just now available for purchase. Before I get 1000 emails, I know the Sanford and Son truck was a 1951, but this 1952 with it's red color, looks so much like it I had to put it in the Listing! I have a clean and clear Ohio Title for the truck. The Truck has layers of old Paint. The original color may be red or it may be black, like the interior. This Truck has never been restored, as far as I know. Recently, it got a new Starter, Fuel Pump, Fuel Lines, Radiator Hoses, Battery and Master Cylinder. It could still use some exhaust work. It now runs, drives and has brakes. It can be driven, but it is loud, so it is not quite ready for everyday driving. This truck has that cool shop worn look everyone is looking for in a Vintage F-1. The Body on this truck is good. There are some dings, and rust in the Running Boards. The faded paint and dings add to the shop worn look. The Truck has it's original Flathead V-8 Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission with the shifter on the Column. The Engine starts easily and runs and idles. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears. I have been starting the Truck with a 12 Volt Battery. The Lights do not work. The Lights will need to be changed to 12 Volt units. The Gauges have been disconnected to prevent them from being damaged by the 12 volt battery. An electronic box that steps the Voltage down to 6 volts can be installed, so the truck's original electrical system can be used. This truck is very solid. The Cab Floor is solid. The Cab is pretty solid. The Dashboard is solid. The Original Seat is ripped and could use a cover, but is in good condition. The Cab Corners are good. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. The Doors are both good. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass is a piece of plexiglass and the window crank is missing. The Passenger Door Glass is good and rolls up and down. The Doors open and close and latch well. The Running Boards have the usual rust in them. The Front Fenders both look good, but have some rust in them. The Hood is good and has nice Stainless Steel Trim. The Grill is solid. The Front Bumper is nice. The Rear Fenders are good but have minor rust, dings and scratches. The Bed of the Truck has what appears to be 2" x 12" lumber for the floor. The Tail Gate is good. The Chains are there and original, but one is rusted through on one link. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. I was tempted to paint "Sanford and Son Salvage" on the doors. This would be so cool and would make this an instant hit at the local Drive In and Cruise Nights. The truck has a set of 15" steel wheels and Vintage Oldsmobile hub caps. The tires show wear, but are in good enough condition to use. Because of the exhaust and lights and the fact that it hasn't been on the road in years, I am advising the new owner to tow it home. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
