Vehicle Detail

Up for sale this week is an amazing 1972 OPEL GT. 43,670 mile car. The Owner has dropped her reserve so this is a live auction at her lowest purchase price. This a second owner car that Im selling for a friend and she bought the car from the original owner 2 years ago. Since then she spent a considerable amount of money restoring the car. I have over 3,500 dollars in receipts that I can share photos of. The engine runs smooth and has had upgrades such as a webber carburator conversion. She got the upper control arm bushings replace on both sides. New ball joints and tie rod ends. Steer rack is new. Turned the rotors and the calipers got rebuilt. New pads and flexible brake hoses too. New rear main seal on the transmission.. New automatic flex plate. She had the radiator rebuilt and installed electric cooling fans. Im just reading over all her receipts and sharing what work was performed recently. New plugs, wires, valve cover gasket, battery, master cylinder, hoses and cap and rotor are present. Oil was changed and is new looking. The under side of hood looks brand new. Engine compartment is clean and detailed. The car is almost prefectly straight. There is a small door ding, no scratch, on the driver door. Thats it dent wise. It appears to have been repainted awhile ago but the paint is still very nice, BUT there is some paint flaws here and there. Mostly on hood and passenger head light cover. From 5 feet away the car shows no flaws. You really wouldnt even see the inperfections unless your right on top of the car. It has been buffed and polished and has great shine left in the paints finish. There appears to be no sign of rust that I can see. Floor boards appear to be solid under the car as well as behind the rear wheel and under the rear of car. The interior is black and shows little to no wear on the seats, door panels, rug or headliner. Its like a new car inside! There is only one thing that is broken in the inside and thats the HAZARD switch, which she has bought a replacement and Im throwing it in with other assorted parts. The car has the original seat belts, but she spent an additional 180 dollars to get updated ones from The OPEL GT Source, a Opel parts source. Those are also included with the car. New halogen headlights are also included, see photo. A newer speedo gear and gasket as well as the temprature control dash cluster is also included. I guess if you loose your keys for this car its next to impossible to find the proper key, so bought 3 extra blank keys also. The back trunk like compartment is solid and has the factory jack and spare tire and tools are intact. The rims that are on the car are aftermarket im guessing and there are NEW 13 inch tires on them. They are 185/70/13. Little to no wear are on them. The chrome on the car is near perfect. No dings on the front bunper or its bumperettes. It has the GRILL and its very nice. All the plastic lens are in gorgeous shape with no dings or scratches or fade. Back bumpers are great but are alittle less brillant than that of front bumper. Reverse light has a small crack, thats it. Rear exhaust tips are good but not great. The car has had all the fluids updated with synthetic oils and fluids. New front and rear sway bars were updated. The exhaust appears stock and doesnt leak or have any holes in the pipes. Sounds like it should. My last photo is of the certificate that the owner got upon purchase that documents the actual mileage in 1983. In 1983 the car has 33,348 miles. The car now has 43,670. So in 29 years the car has only had 10,228 miles put on it. Thats 352 miles a year. Thats a Sunday driver if I've ever heard of one. Then with all the upgrades done to the car its is solid and sound as a driver. If the car doesnt sell this time, Im gonna keep it myself. This car is being sold in AS IS condition with no expressed warrenty. I have tried to accurately describe the car to you the best way I can. If i havent addressed a particular area that your interested in, please feel free to email me or call me at 425-454-6629 and ask for MIke and we can go over the car together. I will send more photo is needed. I will assist on shipping to help get the car to where it needs to go. I use Ameer at Royal Auto Transport, phone number 888-552-5042. I've used him for years and he is very competitive on pricing. PLEASE be sure to ask questions about the car so YOU and I can be on the same page when the car gets to you. Last thing I want or need is someone to feel like they didnt get what they paid for. This is a incredible car which has been babied all its life. It really shows. Thank you for checking out this OPEL GT and good luck in the auction.
