Vehicle Detail

1990 AWD Turbo Eagle Talon TSi VIN 4E3CT64UXLE134552 110,500 Miles 2 owner Texas car = NO RUST! NO RESERVE!, It's gotta go! NO trades or other deals. I need real payment asap and I need it out of here! This is a 2 owner Texas car with NO RUST ANYWHERE. This car was sold in McKinney Texas in 1990 and I bought it from the original owner in 1997 and have owned it ever since. It's never even been out of the Dallas Texas area since I owned it. That means it has never been in snow or ice or road salt and there is no rust on it, inside it, or under it. I dropped out of the DSM hobby many years ago, but kept this car and drove it occasionally. I finally decided to sell the car to make room for other projects. I'm not a car dealer or trader. This is my personal car that I've owned for 15 years. You get tons of great stuff with this car! Pictured below is the original window sticker that you will get with the car! Also is a bunch of receipts I had laying around of stuff I bought for the car. I also have a pile of registration and inspection receipts. These don't really offer any value other than to prove that I have owned it and kept it registered and inspected every year (well almost every year). I am not a smoker and nobody has ever smoked in this car. The factory stuff. … It has the factory leather interior and CD player options. There are only 3 factory options this car doesn't have. No Automatic Transmission (who would want that?) No Sunroof (it was a glass popout roof that eventually leaked that you didn't really want anyway) No Antilock Brakes (in 1990 if you got ABS you did not get the limited slip rear differential, you had to choose one or the other. They had yet to sort out the electronic monitoring of ABS with LSD). The hard to find stuff. ... 4 Bolt rear end. I pulled it from a wrecking yard myself from a later model Mitsubishi Eclipse> Big Brake upgrade (front). I pulled them myself from a wrecking yard from a later model Mitsubishi Eclipse The VERY hard to find stuff. ... Seat belts and trim panels from a Canadian DSM. These are AWESOME and rare, especially for a car that lives 1500 miles from Canada. These are non electric seat belts (the normal kind) which came on Canadian cars. I also installed all of the Canadian trim pieces that go with it to make it look right. You'll be the envy of all your DSM buddies who are nearly strangled with those stupid electric seat belts that the 1G DSMs had. Front mount IC from a Mitsubishi Starion. I pulled this out of a wrecking yard myself. The Starion IC is neatly and securely mounted, but is not currently hooked up because I am using a Dejon Tools side mount IC. The other great stuff. ... > ACT 2100LB clutch Mitsubishi 16G clipped turbo Denso 720CC injectors AFC fuel computer Dejon Tools side mount IC Dejon Tools IC pipes 3" down pipe High flow catalytic converter 2.5" cat back exahaust and probably a few other things I can't even remember! Great stuff I did to the car. ... > Ported head (exhaust side) Ported 2nd Gen exhaust manifold (still has manifold heat sheild in excellent no rust condition!) Ported O2 Housing Ported exhaust side of 16G turbo A really cool O2 LED light sensor gauge running along the edge of tachometer (this is a custom job, you'll never see another one like it unless someone copied mine!) I removed the rear sub floor from the hatch (particle board stuff) so that I could carry a full size spare. It has the pop-up headlight mod, so you can turn on the headlights without popping them up to shine through the blinker lenses. You have to hit the pop-up button on the instrument panel to pop them, then turn them on to drive at night. Most importantly, I really cared for this car. There are no electric hack jobs or wires hanging out anywhere, or half-ass anything. Tons of extra stuff. The original rear hatch sub-floor pieces and original donut spare. 2 extra 90-91 turbo Talon wheels. The 2 extra wheels are not bent anywhere, but the painted silver part needs stripping and repainting. The tires on the 2 extra wheels are junk. 2 complete car bras with all pieces the original 420cc injectors a box full of original intercooler pipes all kinds of other stuff (see pictures) What's wrong with it. It needs a timing belt asap. If you buy this car, you need to put a timing belt & balance belt replacement at the top of your list. I replaced it in 1997. It only has about 50k miles on the timing belt, but it's 15 years old. I've never had a timing belt break on this car. The valves have never been bent and the head has never been off the block. It starts easy, idles, and runs, but the # 2 cylender isn't firing. It is probably a spark plug wire issue (very common on DSMs). I can see sparks shooting out the side of the spark plug cable shaft that goes into the head. That's probably not allowing the spark plug to fire properly. I just dont have time to sort it out & fix it. A driveshaft u-joint needs repair or replacement. Sometimes (but not all the time) the driveshaft vibrates because one of the u-joints is not rotating smoothly. Again, something I just don't have time to fix these days. It got hailed on and there are some shallow dents in the roof and hood. The roof is a thin metal that took the dents. The red hood has a couple of dents that are very hard to see. It leaks oil. The engine has never been apart. The head and oil pan have never been off of it.The 22 year old seals and gaskets are just old and leaking. The car always started and ran so good that I never wanted to tear everything apart just to fix some oil leaks. It leaks clutch hydraulic fluid at the lower slave cylinder. The shifter bushings have broken and fallen out. As a result, the shifter is very sloppy. It needs those plastic bushings replaced. These are the bushings on the shift lever in the car. The shift cables and transmission are fine. Some of the paint is fading on the plastic trim parts. The clutch safety start switch (at the bottom of the clutch pedal travel) is broken and unplugged. So this car will start in gear. … ie you turn the key and the car will move and maybe even start and take off. You need to get this fixed if you can't remember to push in the clutch pedal before starting it. It's been broken for years and hasn't been a problem for me. The car has never been in a serious crash and has had only one minor crash. In fact, it was so minor the car history report doesn't even show it!. But hey, I'm on honest guy, so I'm telling you about it here. About 8 years ago a guy turned left in front of me and I hit him. I was almost able to stop and was almost able to turn and drive around him. It was pretty minor and the car was still drivable. The right front fender, headlight cover, and turn signal were damaged and replaced. I personally made sure they were replaced with original DSM parts. The bumper cover, hood, and center grill were not damaged (that's how minor it was). The front mount intercooler, side mount Dejon Tool intercooler, radiator, etc, were not damaged or moved at all. The crash didn't get into the tire, wheel, or suspension. The fit and finish of the whole right corner where the headlight door, hood, and bumper come together is perfect. Nothing is out of alignment. Overall this is a pretty nice car for it's age. The best thing about this car is that it has never been out of Texas, so there is no rus and it hasn't been hacked apart or trashed or abused by a string of short term idiot owners. It needs some work, but it's a nice one. Shipping and Payment If you win this auction, you will need to arrange for pick up asap. I'm moving, so I need the car gone asap after the auction ends. My schedule is flexible, I can meet a car carrier at any time, but you will need to quickly get it set up. A $500 deposit through Pay Pal is due within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The balance can be paid via Paypal, cash in person, or wire transfer to my bank. I'm flexible on how you pay me, but the car cannot be picked up or shipped until payment is made and cleared in full. I have clear title to this vehicle and will sign it over to the new owner and send it with the car or mail it to you. Again, I haven't driven this car hardly at all in the past year. I don't recommend making any road trips in it until you get the timing belt replaced and fix the spark plug cable issue. There are 49 informative pictures that will load in from a remote server.
