Vehicle Detail
Re-listing from April due to a winning bidder that never lived up to his obligation to buy the car. Please don't bid if you don't have the integrity or the funds to purchase the vehicle. It got up to $6200 last time around and my reserve is still way below that. 1930 Ford Model A "lakes style" roadster nicknamed "The Wayfarer"... new owner will get the story behind the name. Originally a barn find 2 door sedan cut down and channeled by a previous owner, body is mostly straight and has no rust through, but will need work before paint, currently primered with very durable epoxy type stuff. Original Model A frame, still has serial number stamped in, fully boxed, Z'd 10 inches in the rear and suicide in the front, there are a couple unfinished welds that will hold no problem but should be finished prior to paint New front end... 6" drop axle, 11" disc brakes, Posies transverse leaf spring, 36" curtis radius rods, have new shocks but they need to be installed 8.8" Ford Explorer rear end, posi with disc brakes, has some old mounts that could be cut off, semi triangulated 4 bar mounting with brand new coil-overs Newly rebuilt 350 small block with vortec heads, brand new lakes headers with baffles and turnouts, very reasonable noise and they look sweet, re-jetted/re-sprung edelbrock 600 carb, electric choke, HEI ignition 1932 Ford grille shell and new stainless grille, new aluminum radiator and 3000 cfm Zirgo electric fan, gauge shows it getting hot at mid range power, but electric fan that kicks on at 190 degrees doesn't even come on, so I think it may be the gauge. Turbo 350C lockup style transmission, probably needs a new pan gasket since it leaks a bit, lockup is wired but not currently working and not required to drive, shifts and drives great, floor mounted shifter, new transmission cooler All new wiring, fairly new VDO gauges, "ah-oo-ga" horn, new fuse panel, 1930 Ford headlights with halogen conversion and internal turn signals, 1939 Ford taillights Wood floor and firewall painted black, suburban 3rd row bench seat, bear claw door latches, polished stainless steel steering column with quick release steering wheel 11 gallon aluminum gas tank, new fuel lines and fuel pump New master cylinder, proportioning valve, and residual pressure valves Brand new vega steering box with cross steer linkage to prevent bump steer Chopped original windshield frame with custom made smoked and tempered windshield, swings out like the original This is a running and driving car that comes with a good Nebraska title. The state requires it to be an "assembled custom vehicle" and for the title to be "bonded." (May not be required in your state, and if it is, I am happy to transfer my bond policy to you at my expense, if possible) So it is officially a 2007 assembled 1930 Ford Model A. Bureaucracy at it's finest I guess. The car is a blast and gets a ton of attention. I mentioned above the things that should be addressed. If you want a rat rod style car, it may be exactly what you're looking for. If you want a show car, it will need body work and paint, and probably a few more things to suit your fancy. That's up to you the bidder. I have recently had a baby and am looking to get a more family oriented toy, so if you have a pre-'65 4 door or large 2 door with a V8, I am very open to trades. I'll answer any and all questions as soon as humanly possible. Thanks for looking at my auction.
