Vehicle Detail
Im selling a 1952 Studebaker Commander 4 door with a factory V8 and automatic trans. I bought the car around 2002 and has been sitting in my garage ever since. I just dont have the time or money to restore it, so its time to go. I do have a clear title in my name. It is all original and looks to be complete and unmolested ,the suiside doors are factory, all of the glass is cracked except one rear door window and the back window so the vent windows and 3 door glass will need to be replaced. The motor spins over when you put a battery in it but I have never tried to start it. It defenitly needs to be re-wired, it has the paper type wiring and most wires you can see are bare thats why I havent gone any further into it. I found insurence papers in the glove box from 1993 so I would assume thats the last time it was ran. I really dont know much about the car other than that. It does have a dent in the drivers door and trunklid. Also the car has a good bit of rust, mainly on the rear quaters as you can see in the pics and where the fenders meet the grill. The floorboards are rotted, I havent lifted the carpet but you can feel they have holes. The car is parked in a garage in Covington 70433, feel free to call me with any questions and come look at it. I can also email more detailed pictures if needed Thanks Dalton 985-969-3065 On Jun-02-12 at 19:15:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for the confusion I listed it as a coupe but it is a 4 door sedan. Happy bidding!!On Jun-02-12 at 19:29:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Also I have lost the key, It is a simple ignition switch that can be bought from any parts store and easy to change. If I have time I will change it out this week but no promises. It has a push button for the starter on the dash so the winning bidder can see it does spin over. I think it will fire up with little effort. Also the dome light on the dash still works when you open and close the door it comes on and turns off, which for its age amazes me for its age.
