This is breaking my heart as I type this. I have a 1981 VW pickup that I need to sell. Got great mpgs till the camshaft broke and bent all the valves. Had the head rebuilt by Ram Head and Cylinder in St Louis. New camshaft and valves. Cost me $500. Haven't had time to put the rebuilt head back into the engine bay. My wife says I gotta get rid of one of my projects. She wants to park her van in garage. My loss is your gain.
