Vehicle Detail
1949 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Barn Find. It has been sitting for years and is just now available for purchase. I have a clean and clear Ohio Title for the truck. This Truck is originally from Colorado. It was driven to Ohio over twenty years ago and has been sitting in storage. The Truck appears to have it's original Paint. This Truck has never been restored. Recently, it got a new Battery and Master Cylinder and had the fuel system cleaned. It now runs, drives and has brakes. It can be driven, but the tires are old and weak, so it is not quite ready for road use. This truck has a cool shop worn look everyone is looking for in a Vintage F-1. The Body on this truck is good, not great. There are some dents and dings, and rust in the Doors, Running Boards and Front Fenders. The dents, dings and rust add to the shop worn look. The Truck has it's original 239 8BA Flathead V-8 Engine and 3 Speed Manual Transmission with the shifter on the Floor. The Engine starts easily and runs and idles well. It has exhaust and is quite when running! The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs well and Shifts through the Gears with no problems. I have been starting the Truck with a 12 Volt Battery. The Lights do not work. The Lights will need to be changed to 12 Volt units. The Gauges have an electronic box that steps the Voltage down to 6 volts, so they can be used. This Truck is fun to drive and get lots of looks and thumbs up, wherever it goes. This truck is more solid than the pictures make it look. The Cab Floor is solid, but the rust on the Transmission cover make the floor look bad. The Cab is pretty solid. The Dashboard is solid. There is no Radio, although, there is an antenna. The Floors are solid. The Seat is ripped and could use a cover, but is there and the Frame appears to be in good condition. The Cab Corners are good. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. The Doors both have rust in them. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass has a crack in it. The Passenger Door Glass is good and rolls up and down. The Doors open and close and latch well. The Running Boards have the usual rust in them. The Front Fenders both have rust in them, at the seams. The Passenger Front Fender has a Dent at the Grill. The Hood is good and has the Stainless Steel Trim. The Grill is solid and is the Deluxe style with the extra Stainless Steel Bands across the front. The Front Bumper is nice. The Rear Fenders are good but have rust, dents and dings. The Bed of the Truck has the original wood and steel deck. There is no Tail Gate, but the Chains are there and original. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. This Shop Worn, Faded look is hard to reproduce, but lots of people are trying! All of the fading and rust on this truck are original. This is the look Hot Rodders and Rat Rodders are sporting at the local Drive Ins. The truck has a set of original 15" steel wheels and some sort of factory hub caps. The tires are old and dry rotted and not to be trusted. They are good enough to test drive and get it on the trailer. This truck is a driver and with four tires, could probably be driven anywhere. Since it doesn't have those tires, so I am advising the new owner to tow it home. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
