This is a 1971 Westfalia I bought a while back from the original owner who originally bought it in Germany to tour Europe. After seeing most of Europe from the drivers seat he went back to the Dealer and had them ship it here to the states. It is basically a rolling museum of it's own life. It has all the sales brochures and ads that were available to the original owner when he bought it. He was very meticulous and kept every document associated with the bus. Owners manual, sevice manuals, receipts, the list goes on and on. The body has its share of bumps and bruises but overall is in good shape and VERY dry. There is some small rust bubbles on the front floor and that's about it. The rockers are beautiful. The doors shut tight and solid and all the seals are in great shape. The poptop is in good shape but it will need a replacement canvas. The interior is an 8 out of 10. It is complete, and includes the mosquito net, childs cot and Kamei package trays. All in excellent shape. The cushions and wood work are in great shape as well. All the mats are present and clean, with no rips or tears. Same goes for the carpet. Stock radio still works as good as the day it rolled off the lot! The engine is a rebuilt 1600 dp with 210 documented miles on it. The air tube that attaches to the carb from the aircleaner ripped hence the chrome paper filter. This is truly an excellent candidate for restoration. This vehicle will provide you with miles of smiles. It is amazing at how well documented this van is. The file is thick and chocked full of info, from the time the car was bought.
