Vehicle Detail

Ok To start,, This is my friends car, He has had it for years and it used to be real nice,But he had some one do the bodywork for him and they did the quarters wrong, So he got frustrated and let the car sit for years now, He wanted to sell it to me but I still havent finished my GT Fury project so I am gonna pass. The car has Tons of potential and I dont want to see it sit for another 5 years so I convinced him to put it up on ebay. So all you guys that go by some car rotting away in someones yard and say , That dude isnt gonna sell ! he is just gonna let that beautiful car go to pot ! until he dies and his family will have it crushed to make hondas..Well this guy realizes it is time to pass the torch.. This could be a sweet ride and from what I can see Its MOSTLY body work, The rest is details and prob some minor problems from sitting, (alt waterpump, belts, hoses from sitting ) So he emails me this description... hi lou here is the story, I have owned this car since 1987. A friend said he would fix the quarter panels for me,so I bought new ones but it apears that he used them to make lower patches instead of installing the whole thing. And not very good ones as you can see in pics! The car started life with a 383 but now has a 440 6 pack set up with the rare eidlebrock aluminum intake manifold. The car had air, and because I was going to drive it alot, I kept it in.I just had to slightly notch the aircleaner and it all went in no problem. The motor only has less then 400 miles since rebuilt and 100 miles on front the complete front end .And even thought it was put in years ago It should all still be fine. a/c needs a charge ( of course). The trans is stock but shifts good with no issues . The 391 gears in the 8 3/4 rear are good with no problems. It has new front rotors (slotted and drilled) and pads. The trunk floor was replaced and por 15'd .I had new front buckets and headliner and carpet installed, (the origonal back seat has small tear now prob from just from sitting for years). This car was my baby and a great car. Basically what happened was, I did all this work and had everything done but after I was afew hundred miles into enjoying it, The quarters split at the repaired weld seam, I realized it was done wrong and I was pissed, I put the car in the yard with a cover , thinking I would get it to a body shop so I could get back to enjoying it , and life got in the way. One year turned into the next and I realize I just dont have it in me to do the quarters and clean the car up again. Believe me I know the car has sat a long time , But I cleaned the carbs recently and put a battery in it and it fired right up.Im not saying come drive it home, althought I bet it might make it, But besides the body problems, and by that I mean (quarters and paint ) . With very little work going over everything from sitting, its a car you could drive and work the bugs out while you enjoy it. it wouldnt take much, call me if you have questions 631 736 5924 Frank B Ive known him for years and he in an honest man, I wouldnt dare post someone else car unless He was a good guy! Now since I AM NOT THE OWNER .. Heres the deal.. You have to work it out with him. Call the number !!!
