Vehicle Detail

1970 Superbird that has been completely and correctly Rotisserie restored by one of the best Mopar shops in the country, Blue Star Performance. The engine and transmission are 100% numbers matching original to the car. All components such as the Carb., Distributor, Alternator, etc. are 100% date code correct to the car. The engine is a 440 with a 4 BBL carb. The Transmission is a 727 automatic. The car is FJ5 Sublime green and is the original color for the car. Interior is a black bench seat, also correct for the car. Everything has been totally restored on this car to the correct factory appearance and function. The bottom of the car has been restored correctly with the factory way of having outer body paint over spray over the dark gray primer. The suspension components of the car are all rebuilt and have been painted in colors that make them appear bare metal but will not rust. All of this was done with a spray gun and baked on for longevity. No aerosol paints here. The lower control arms have the correct cosmoline finish like the factory did. The drive train is all rebuilt and it runs as it should. Everything on the car from front to rear is either new or rebuilt. Many of the parts are NOS such as Tail lights, Side markers, park lamp assemblies, door handles. All of the glass except the rear window is new with Chrysler marking on them. The vent window frames have been re chromed. All of the stainless moldings have been buffed to new appearance. This car needs nothing. I built this car to have no excuses. The original Fender tag is still on the car. I have ownership history and their phone numbers back to 1980. I have personally owned the car since 1990. It originally came from Texas and I have the owners name and Number who bought it there in 1980. Before restoration this car was a nice driver car that in today's world might have been called a survivor. There are pictures on our website of the car before, during and after to show it's condition and what has been done to it. The LH quarter panel, drivers front floor and trunk floor were replaced during the restoration but the repairs are not visible. The trunk floor extensions are original and you can see in the pictures the small tabs that are on original parts there are still present. This was a dry car with very little rust problems. The restoration was completed in August of 2011 and has about 50 miles on it since completion. This car won 1st place at the 2011 Mopar Nationals with only 2 points being deducted from a perfect score and won Concourse Gold at the 2011 Muscle car Nationals with Tony D'Augostino of Tony's Mopar parts, one of the most knowledgeable Mopar experts, being the head judge on the car. I invite anyone that is seriously interested in the car to go to our website, bluestarperformace.com, and take a look at the the before, during and after pictures and give me a call to talk more about the car. 815-228-4211 8AM-8PM CST Mark I may be interested in partial trades plus cash for Mopar muscle car project cars with interesting options and numbers matching drive trains. A little about me and Blue Star Performance. I am one of the owners of Blue Star Body Works which specializes in Mopar Muscle Car restorations and we have been doing them for 20 years. We won the Mopar Builder of the Year in 2008 and we know what we are doing when restoring these type of cars. I am also a Member of the ICCA which does OE judging of these cars and I assist in that judging process at major Mopar shows. Again, this is a top shelf car for someone who wants to own the best of the best and there are no excuses with the car and no money needs to be spent after the sale to make it a perfect car!
