this is for a 1987 porsche 944 automatic, this was a real garage find. i was asked to keep an eye out for a 944 auto for an aqaintance, after two years of looking for a good one i found it but cant wait any longer to get paid as im building a home . i got lucky on this one it has been in dry storage since 03 and is a very good example of these fine cars, i have had many 944's and this one is very nice. i had timine belt water pump svc done as soon as i took possession and have been driving the car since jan. 2012 the car also has a new fuel pump n fuel lines on engine. the tires show great tread but two were flat when i bought and one has a vibration in it , they are several years old so i wouldnt trust them but if buyer wants to drive home i will put some good low tread tires on the car, but plan on new tires either way. ok, engine runs great no smoke no knock oil pressure is 3+ bar at idle and sounds/ feels very healthy , temp stays around 1/4 way during driving and fans are spot on in idle,so no cooling issues, seals are all good. transmission shifts perfectly and has no issues, axles are well lubed and in very good shape as is suspension and steering. ac works well and radio is factory blaupunkt but front speakers were damaged. sunroof does NOT leak but one of plastic gears are stripped ($10.00 easy replacment) there is tear in drv front seat but rest of interior is above average. the paint is factory and looks great -there is one small dent on pass, front fender with paint chip (see pics). i have original service manual previous owners were meticulis on maintence with alot of dealer stamps on svc book :). exhaust is modified and car sounds great with that 944 burble that sounds sooo good at idle. this was a rare great find but i have two 944's (ones a modified 16v thats soooo fast :) this car is for sale locally and i reserve right to pull it out any time exept for last day if your close and want to check out your more than welcome but this car can be driven home to anywhere you live and will provide tons of great driving fun, happy bidding ! i do require a $500.00 nr deposit within 24 hrs of auction close.
