Up for bid is a factory stock, California rust free, accident free, excellent condition red 1994 Honda Del Sol Si. This is the Si model, 5 speed stick shift, with its increased horsepower and original VTEC engine. It is fully loaded with power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, cold air conditioning, 4 wheel disc brakes, driver and passenger airbag, tilt steering wheel, and targa top, among other features . Everything works like new. This is an all original car top to bottom, Southern California car since new, completely stock, NO modifications, that has been extremely well taken care of over the years. No restoration project either. This has been my car for many years, all original, original paint, and I love this car. It looks and drives like it is new. Scroll down to view 57 pictures, it might awhile to load them all. Below the 57 pictures, is the highly detailed description of the car. To continue on, this is really only a 2 owner car. The first owner owned it to around the 170K range, and babied the car. I then took great care of the car as well as the new owner. The pictures speak for themselves. This is the original VTEC engine for the Si model, no modifications, no swaps. There are no issues with the car – the ignition starts right up, the engine sounds great like new, and the idle is smooth. The car has the same power as new. The engine and components do not leak oil or any fluids, and it does not burn any oil. It was not driven hard, never abused. The engine does not overheat and runs right as it should. Driving the car is sensational like new. The clutch pedal is tight and shifting works great, the steering is straight and tight, and the power steering works great. There are no shakes, no pulling. The exhaust is clean and all original. The handling is exceptional and it drives like new. The 4 wheel disc brakes work great, no shaking or pulling with at least 50% left on the pads. The original del sol si 14 inch rims looks great, just a few normal minor scuffs. The tires have approximately 60% tread left on the rear, 40% on the front. All maintenance has been done over the years as well with Honda parts, which makes a big difference. It shows in the quality of the car and its operations. The oil had been changed every 3,000 miles or less. Sometimes I changed the oil at 6 months, but had only driven the car 500 miles. The all-important timing belt and water pump was done at 172,000 miles, so you are good until about 262,000 miles. That means 52,000 miles to go. I have this receipt and many receipts from over the years for maintenance and repairs. General maintenance items have always been done properly and timely, such as air filter, spark plugs, coolant change, belts, etc. Don’t be taken aback by the mileage at 209,000. This is low mileage for an extremely well taken care of Honda. It is excellent running condition top to bottom, like new, guaranteed. It runs like it is fresh out the factory. These engines will run to 350,000+ easy if taken care of. The car passes emissions test (smog) with flying colors. I have all the smog receipts for the last 4 years, and you can see how clean it runs, thanks to proper maintenance. It reads in so far below the maximum smog requirements, it is stunning. I guarantee it will pass California smog with flying colors, which is the most strict in the nation. The exterior is in amazing condition for the age, it is all ORIGINAL shiny factory paint from 1994 when the car was new. No clear coat issues, no peeling. The reason it has stayed so nice is that I work from home, so the car stayed inside the garage out of the harmful sun for many years. This makes a huge difference on the paint, exterior rubber and plastics and interior surfaces, as it is the sun that fades, cracks and dries things out. The car was rarely driven in the sun, and never in the rain. Also, I wax the outside once or twice a year as well, which makes a big difference in keeping it mint. There are no major scratches, no dents, just perfect. There are a few minor door dings from over the years of course from parking lots, which cannot even be seen unless you put your eye right up to it. I always park far far away from everyone in parking lots. One door ding is on the top hood middle, just back from the bumper, hardly noticeable. There are a few paint nicks around that were touched up with touch up paint over the years, hardly noticeable. There are quite a few tiny paint nicks on the top hood near the front bumper, typical wear for the year and mileage. The paint on the side plastic mirrors is getting some fading. That’s about it. I have had people tell me all the time that they think the car looks like it is brand new. You will not be disappointed!!! The fiberglass front bumper cover, which gets the brunt of the paint nicks, has no nicks at all, because it was replaced around 174,000 miles because it had scuffs over the years, parking lot curb rash and a crack in the fiberglass. It was not some cheap fix it up job, but a brand new factory bumper cover installed, painted at the factory. This was done professionally so it matches perfectly as you can see. You may have noticed that I replaced the front headlight lenses last year with the one piece JDM style ones, because I just like the look better. No conversions or anything. They fit and mount right in just like the stock ones, use the same stock regular normal light bulb connector for headlight and front turn signal. This is a Southern California car all its life, with absolutely no rust or corrosion top to bottom, accident free, the only way to buy cars. Even the exhaust system is all original from 1994! It has never left Southern California. There is not much rain in Southern California to begin with, and I rarely drove it in any rain. The removable rooftop works perfectly, the handles properly lock and unlock the rooftop. The rooftop locks into place in the trunk properly, both locking mechanisms work as new. There are no leaks with the removable rooftop. I lubricate the rubber strips and seals with silicon once or twice a year, as recommended in the owners manual. Most don’t bother lubricating the seals, which is why some cars leak. It makes all the difference! With the top down, and all windows down, it is just like a convertible. The windows were professionally tinted with the high-end tint. There is no bubbling or peeling, it was expensive. The side windows are California legal (35%) as required. The rear window can be any shade legally. It is one shade darker than the sides. As you can see in the photos, the interior is MINT – just as good as out of the factory when new. This is because the first owner was very anal. And, I don’t eat or drink in the car, I don’t smoke, no pets, and rarely have any passengers. It smells fresh and new. None of the plastic or rubber is deteriorated. The seats are near mint. You can see the drivers seat has no wear on the side, which is unbelievable. This is due to carefully getting in and out of the car without rubbing the seat. There are no cracks in the plastics, and nothing is broken. Very well taken care of. The only interior issues are the little ripple on the door panels at the elbow rest area (common on all del sols), and two small holes in the driver seat, presumably from an accidental hit with a screw driver. All lights, buttons, gauges, functions and instrument panel illumination work perfectly throughout. Everything works great: power windows, rear power window, window lock button, power mirrors, and cruise control. AC works great, and it is ice cold. The heater works great. The blower fan works great in all speed settings. All climate control buttons and functions work great. Tilt steering wheel, horn, emergency brake, windshield wipers and windshield cleaner spray all work great. Headlights, fog lights and all switches work great. The storage bin doors and hinges all work great. The glove box is mint. The center console coin door and storage bin door work great, and the cup holders work great. The charger port / lighter works great. All the door locks and trunk locks work great. The fuel door lever works perfectly. Everything works like new. I installed a Clarion stereo head unit a few years ago, in what I thought was the best matching unit to the original stock look. It has CD, and front USB input for iPod or other devices. I will include the owner’s manual as well so you know how to use it. It also has a wireless remote control. The 4 speakers are still factory original Honda, and sound GREAT like new! Everything works perfectly. The manual antenna on the outside of the car works great – it is mint like new, and it is not bent at all. It goes up and down like new. Also, del sols had a factory rear wing option as you may know. I have the rear wing, but never had it installed! It is also included in this sale, you can see it in the pics. This is $450+ if you were to try to buy it now, also no longer available at the dealer. It is a wings west brand for Honda del sol, painted by Honda dealer. It is the exact same style wing that the dealer would have installed when the car was new, if you paid for that option at the dealer. It is mint new condition, and ready for you to install it if you want. It is easy to install I understand, 4 bolts. Original spare tire, jack, tools and tool bag are included. Two original Honda keys included, plus two aftermarket copies. Also included is some of the original paperwork from the original owner from the Honda dealer when the car was new. This includes: warranty booklet, technical pre-delivery inspection, owner’s manual and maintenance schedule booklet. Clean California title, free and clear. For California bidders, registration is paid through September. As with any car I own, I was NEVER planning on selling it, so I kept it in mint condition. I don’t really want to sell it, but I have to switch to an automatic transmission. Factory original del sols in this condition are becoming rare, especially red Si VTEC fully loaded models! The targa top is what makes this car even more unique and fun to drive. And the gas mileage is excellent too. Don’t let it get away!
