Vehicle Detail
Here we have a VERY RARE!!! and ultra hard to find 1954 Ford Crestline Country Squire Station Wagon! The last year of the 1st genration woody wagons. It was also fords most expensive car in 1954. I will start off with a quick history on it. This wagon has been sitting on my familys property for over 45 years, we moved it from our cabin down to my uncles house about about 1 year ago. The wagon as you can guess after sitting idle for almost half a century is in pretty rough shape. However the most important parts for a resto is there, the body, chassie, and the orginal engine and transmition. The frame is in great stright shape. The body is complete with fixable damage, the roof has dents from heavy winter snows, and the driver and passenger doors are also damaged. The rest of the car is stright. The engne is the rare 1 year 239 cubic inch V8 with the Y block and the L heads, the motor is free and should be quite rebuildable. Most of the engine components are missing like the radiatior, generator, ext. All things that you can find after market. Im not sure what transmition is in it, but I do know that it is the 3 speed on the tree with Overdrive, which im told is also very rare! The windows have mostly been shot out of it, with the exception of 2 of them....all replaceible. Whoever shot the windows only shot the windows and no any where on the car that I can see. Most all the interior is there like the seats, but rotted away. The worst rust is the floorbords...almost no floorbords. My 2nd cousin has a body shop and he said that it would have to be a ground up restoration but doable. Considering the rarity of the crestline country squire with just 12,797 ever made, its really worth finding someone willing to bring her back to life. This wagon has always had some sort of cover on it for more than a decade. If you have any question please ask. Its Victor at (406)461-0494 Ive been searching on the internet for years and never seen a 54 woodie for sale anywhere. Must go NO RESERVE!!!
