1973 280C CoupeSilver/BlueLocated in Syracuse, NYI've had the car since 2005. The floors and exhaust system have been replaced. The 4bbl. Solex carb (Holley copy?) has been rebuilt. Carpets have been replaced with carpets from an SEL sedan. Five aliminum, 14" wheels are also from SEL. Hankook tires have good tread, but are aged. The odometer shows 109K, but it has not worked since I've had car. The 280C Coupe was a limited producion model and a favorite of Formula 1 drivers of the day. Based on the 114 chassis , the '73 C Coupe was the first year for the 2.8 liter DOHC 6 motor. It was also the last year for the original style steel bumpers. Car is a pleasure to drive. I call it the "Autobahn Cruiser" It's a great car for the highway. I've made a number of trips with it: Poconos, Hemmings Cruise Night in Bennington, Thousand Islands, Buffalo and quite a few runs down to Watkins Glen.The body, is quite solid, There are some paint bubbles on the rt. fender near head lamp and on rt. 1/4 panel below bumper. There is some rust in the rt. rocker panel near the "A" piler. I have a new rocker, but never had it installed. There are 2 dents in the rt. 1/4 panel.Seats and headliner are in very good condition. Twin cam 2.8 inline 6 is very strong. Cold starts are little hard , but once warmed up, starts easy and runs like a bear. There are no major oil leaks. Four speed automatic transmission works well. The car does have some electrical issues after sitting for 2 years.... Horn, wipers and rear window defroster. Worked when car was last driven..... Electric rear windows are not working and dash lights work sometime. I have 2 Becker GP cassette/radios, not installed , but come with car. Also included is a complete set of steel wheels, extra set of fog lamps, car cover and a box of misc. parts. Any questions, please ask before bidding.
