You are bidding on a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S. This car is extremely rare with only 718 Turbo S vehicles shipped to the United States in 1988 and only 51 produced in Maraschino Red metallic paint. If you’re in the market for a 951 with pedigree, read on!!! This 951 was owned by just 2 families. The first family purchased it new from Turner Motor Car Company in Warren, Ohio. The second family acquired it in 2003 and owned it until we purchased it. This 951 was specially ordered to come equipped with a KD40 Radar Detector and an upgraded audio system with CD player and amplifier which added an additional $2,142.00 to the $51,080.00 sticker price. The total sales price in 1988 including the sales tax was $55,282.00!!! I have all of the original acquisition documents on this 951 including the Window Sticker, Buyers Order, Sales Contract, Payment Receipt, 5-year Service Contract, Odometer Disclosure and titling documents. In addition, a comprehensive binder of maintenance records and a stamped service book are included with the car. This car was meticulously maintained as the records indicate that the 15K mile service, 45K mile service and all other routine maintenance were performed by the Porsche Dealer. Importantly, the timing belt, timing belt tensioner, all associated rollers and the water pump were just replaced. As you can see by the photos, this car is absolutely stunning. The interior is in fantastic condition and shows very little wear. The seats are in excellent shape with no rips, tears or excessive wear. The seats have the leather bolsters with the desirable Porsche script fabric inserts. To compliment the interior, brand new 4-piece Lloyd floor mats with the “Turbo S” logo are included with the car. The dash displays the usual hairline cracks at the vents, but overall, they are not that bad. Mechanically, the car runs very well. It has never been modified, raced or abused. Everything works including the air conditioning. One of the exhaust manifold studs will need to be replaced. Other than that, the car runs well and pulls strong. As you can see, the exterior of the car looks stunning as well. This car has never been in an accident. However, some of the panels were repainted in 1988 when the car had 6,000 miles due to acid rain spots. This is doccumented through reciepts from the original owner since the car had 1.800 miles. Additionally, the hood which was recently repainted due to stone chipping. The paint has some checking on the front fenders and signs or water spotting on the roof. Although these are the type of imperfections which can be expected from a 24 year old car, I don’t want any surprises for the new owner. Nonetheless, the car is a still head turner as can be seen in the photos. Please note that the 3 piece turbo twist wheels DO NOT come with the car. The car will come with the original forged clubsport Turbo S alloy wheels. Please only bid if you are serious about buying this car and have the necessary funds available.
