Vehicle Detail

Vintage 1965 Triumph TR4 with Rare Surrey Top. I purchases the car with the intent of a full restoration. It was disassembled with all parts individually bagged and labeled. Each disassembled part was digitally photographed prior to disassembly (photos included). The entire frame and body were inspected and documented. Wherever any corrosion or deformation were noted, I purchases a new body part. Later I realized this probably wasn't necessary, but new parts are included non the less (see photos). This is a complete car with everything required for a full restoration. Of course fabrics and other cosmetic items will need to be purchased to compete a full restoration. Anyone with some time and skills can complete this with great results. Unfortunately I realized I don't have the time to complete to process the way it should be done. This is as close to a "kit" as you will get. The frame is sound with no rot. Most of the body has been treated and primed. There are a few remaining panels (inner and outer) that need some TLC. That said, all the necessary replacement parts are included, welding and patching is all that's required. Also included are a set of pneumatic tools (grinders, impact wrenched, power socket, cutting wheels, sheet metal cutters etc.. (see photo). The engine is out of the car and on an engine stand (included), as is the transmission. The only remaining items to complete the car would be cosmetics, skills and time. I've included a TR4 restoration guide which will guide you through the process step by step. They Surrey top is very rare and was the reason I purchased this particular car, it looks fantastic (see finished photo). Interior panels and seats are complete, as is all instrumentation. The new parts purchased alone ran into several thousands. Hopping someone has the time to complete this and send me a photo. On May-06-12 at 06:17:20 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted to be clear. This car is in the middle of a restoration with engine and trans removed and thus not drivable. Left sill has been removed and X-bracing installed to maintain rigidity. Right inner front fender also requires removal and replacement. The necessary parts come with the car, but the removal and installation of those two parts is required. The left inner fender has been removed and the new one tacked into place. New wheel wells are provided, but existing are still in place and are not a necessity, but as I was going for a show restore I purchased new ones. So in short, outer panels have been removed for inspection and repair. Weather you choose to go for a full show restore and install the new parts is up to you, in most cases it won't be necessary. One new floor panel has been tacked into place, with the balance of the interior structure (other than inner sill) complete and primed with self etching primer (see photos).
