Vehicle Detail

Up for your consideration is a 1967 Ponitac Bonneville Convertible This car has the correct XW 325 horse power 400 motor which has been rebuilt and leaks nothing. Backed by a Turbo 400 transmission which leaks nothing as well. Both run smoothly and have been trouble free for as long as I have owned this car. The car was recently ground down to bare metal and has had a Basecoat/Clearcoat Dupont Super Jet Black paint job applied. Car is straight, clean and shows nicely. NOT a concourse paint job but shows nicely. Good driver quality. Car was then color sanded with 1,500 grit and 2,000 to eliminate orange peel from finish. Compound buffed and finish polished to high gloss. Black cars require a NEW wash mitt to keep paint job nice. The inside of the car is stock in appearance and has had NEW seat skins installed professionally. The fit of the seats are nice. Door panels are original and for a 44 year old car they are still in good shape. Driver side door panel has lost alittle rug just under chrome strip. Passenger side is nice but is missing window crank knob. Rear panels are in great shape and DO NOT have any speaker holes cut in them. Nice vinyl, not rotted out. Rug is in good shape and has full rubber factory mat to protect rug. NEW door sills have be installed. Car is going to need a new antenna. Stock one is present on the fender, but chrome mast is gone. The top on this car is in great shape. Someone before I received the car had spent alot of money on the operation of the top. The top, top motor, hydrolic hoses and top well are all NEW. I do not know if the pistons for the have been replaced but top opens and closes with out fail. Top switch on dash works fine but you need to push UP on the switch as you move the switch to either up or down. This car has the 8 lug nut feature. They have been restored and are in great shape. I bought two new center caps and two are original on the passenger side. I also bought newer 8 lug chrome trim rins and lug nuts are original and are in good shape. The brakes on this car are all new. Newer wheel cylinders and shoes are in amazing shape. There is plenty of meat left on the drums and look great, nice and smooth inside drums. Tires on the car are newer with alot of tread. The engine compartment is clean and stock in appearance, aside from the air cleaner. Trunk compartment is clean and has the factory splatter paint applied. As for RUST on the car, floor boards are SOLID as well as the trunk. Behind rear wheels are in great shape. Bodyshop took great care in fixing any problem areas on car. There was only surface rust on car when I bought it. As for the assesories such as the lights. They work. Head lights, tail lights, dash lights , turn signal lights work. The turn signals up front needs a new wire harness and I havent been able to ge the side marker lights up front on the fenders to operate yet. The heater works and heats car nicely. Someone must replaced heater core recently and does not leak at all. As for the gauges on the car, fuel gauge works and reads correctly. Amp gauge works, temp works and speedometer is correct. The factory stereo is long gone and a older tape cassette player in in it place now. It works. The wiper motor has been replaced and I bought a new motor off ebay recently and will install this week. The car has dual exhaust and has low rumble mufflers. Sounds nice for a car this size. Does not sound like a dragster. I have accurately tried to describe this car to the best of my know abiltiy. PLEASE ask me questions prior to bidding if there is something you wish to know about. Feel free to come and look at the car if you live locally. The car is being sold in "AS IS" condition with no implied warrenty on a 44 year old car. I require a 1,000 dollar deposit 48 hours after auctions end and the remander of the balance is due prior to cars shipping.
