No reserve listing. This is my 1987 Mercedes 190D 2.5 Turbo Diesel, one-owner car. This is a superb, spectacular and outstanding car, and probably the finest one of these you will find for sale. This car is ultra-rare, it was made for 1987 only and 1300 were produced total. It is known as the "hot-rod" diesel or "diesel sports car" because of its powerful engine and great handling. On top of that it will get nearly 40 mpg. I would be surprised to see a comparable car for sale anywhere in the country. I have the original window sticker ($31,000), original sales order, original yellow OH title, plus all the records kept in the Mercedes service book. I even have a full-page newspaper ad that advertised the car when it was new. The owners were snowbirds- they lived in Ohio during the summer and drove the car down to Florida to stay all winter and garaged it in between. The car was always dealer serviced and kept in top condition. It has the original paint in superb condition and there is no rust at all. The paint and body are clean, excellent and beautiful, with no dings, dents or rust. The car has never been in any accidents, and it looks, runs and drives nearly like new. The interior is pristine- the carpets and upholstery are excellent. The carpets have always been covered with the factory floormats, and the floormats were even covered with tan carpet mats. The seats are superb, with no cracks or wear and the dashboard has no cracks. The tires are brand new Michelins. The car starts, runs and drives very well. It is smooth, quick and powerful. The handling, brakes and suspension are very good. I would trust this car to drive cross-country tomorrow. The radio is the original Becker which works great. I'm quite sure this is the nicest condition 190D for sale anywhere. 155,950 carefully maintained miles with dealer records stamped and recorded in the book. Kept in my building in Willoughby, OH. That switch has been replaced and the A/C was discovered to not be blowing cold. So I have taken the car to an A/C shop where they are replacing the compressor, which had a small leak. The system is r134a, converted from the original r12. So barring any unforeseen issues, the air conditioning will be working properly for the winning bidder when they pick it up. I will do everything possible to make sure the A/C works properly.
