Still wearing the majority of it's Original Blue and White paint. This Deluxe Sunroof was made 10/71 so it's a very early model. The original exterior has some AWESOME PATINA throughout. This is a REAL CALIFORNIA SURVIVOR. It has all of it's correct original seats including the rare and very hard to find 2/3 short Walk Trough middle seat. This bus shows it's true originality and is very complete. It even has the original duel carburetor air cleaner that's always missing on these. Of course, it has some minor dings, scratches and scrapes to be expected for being 40-years-old. This Deluxe Sunroof is SOLID AND UNTOUCHED, its never had any hacks and is very dry for being 40 years old. All the glass is good and it has a brand new windshield and seal. This Deluxe Sunroof still retains its correct 1700 duel carbureter engine. The odometer shows about 108,529 miles which is thought to be original. It starts with a key, runs and drives and the brakes do work, but will need some work. The engine has a noise and puffs some smoke. My long time Type 4 mechanic thinks it's something to do with the valve train or top end. I have driven it up the street to test the transmission and it works great in all gears. It will need a little wake up work, and things fixed here and there, but it's much better than buying a basket case that's missing everything and is inoperable. It's a great easy project than can be enjoyed with minimal effort. It can be driven onto a trailer or transport truck. These Early Bay Window Deluxe Sunroof Walkthrough's Bus's are getting IMPOSSIBLE to find these days, especially in Original paint and as complete as this one is!
