Selling my 1975 AMC Matador X Coupe. 360 V8, Bucket Seats, With Console and Floor Shift Automatic. 52K miles. Has an original AMC AM/FM 8 Track player, but I can’t get the 8 track to play (I just get a spinning sound), the radio works however. An AC equipped car, but the compressor is off the car and is in a box in the trunk (removed for new timing chain installation a couple years ago, and never hooked back up). Transmission was rebuilt in 1998. New Dual Exhaust installed about a year ago. Good BF Goodrich Radial TA RWL tires with about 80% tread left. New brakes all the way around, and more. Starts/Runs/Drives Great. I myself wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. Car was repainted in 2004, and although it’s presentable still, it’s beginning to show its age. There are some scratches and dings, the striping could use re-doing. I’d say the exterior is in overall good shape, but it could use some work to be really nice. You’ve heard of a”20-footer”. A car that looks perfect from 20 feet away, but when you get closer, you start seeing the flaws. Well, you could call this car a 20-footer. Front bumper is nice driver condition, but the back bumper needs replacement or repair and replating. Interior is original and GORGEOUS! Black/White interior, with the vinyl buckets and floor shift really make this car sharp! Truly a rare find to find an original interior this beautiful. Overall this is a good looking, great running/driving 37 year old car. I’ve owned dozens of old cars now, but I don’t think I’ve ever owned one that draws the attention that this one does. It’s nearly impossible to stop anywhere without being approached and asked about it. You just can’t seem to be out in public with it without people asking “what kind of car is that?” Not the kind of car for someone who doesn’t like drawing attention to themselves. Own something cool and different! You’re sure to be the only one at the local car shows with one of these. Before you ask: “Do I Have a Buy It Now Price?” The answer is “YES” I do have a Buy It Now in mind, but I didn’t include it with the listing because of all the scammers and bogus buyers out there. For the SERIOUS buyer, I would add a Buy It Now for them for $5379.00 that’s the exact Window Sticker price of the car (Original Window Sticker is Included). I can add this Buy It Now of $5379 for any serious buyer anytime up until the reserve is met (And I have WAY more than that into it).
