Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1976 pontiac Grand Le Mans. I will start by telling about the history of me and this car. I am over 70 yrs old, and have always been a classic car nut. About 2yrs. ago I found a 1977 Can Am that had been setting in a woods for several years. After checking the car over, I realized the metal was too far gone to save. So,I the went on a search for a car to build a Can Am clone. During that search is when I found this Lemans. It was listed as a " parts car" I bought this car for the Can Am project. After checking the car out I decided it was too nice to use for parts. It only needed repaired. It had been involved with a low speed fender bender. I replaced the drivers front fender and the headlight header panel. I repaired small scratches in the hood.To get the car ready for the road I installed new stablizer pins, front shocks, A-arm bushings, and had the front end realigned. The car drives straight and stop straight. I also bought a new battery, and tires. The carpet was worn so I replaced that also. I tuned the engine and cleaned the carb. The car then became my daily driver while I worked on my other project. All the damage done was strickly cosmetic. even the radiator was still good. The condition of this car is amazing for a 35 yr old. It must have been kept inside most of its life. The interior is good with no rips or holes. It has a few dings and scrapes, but nothing major. The radio benzel was cut out for a modern system which was gone when I bought the car. I have a replacement benzel and original radio. Other than the parts that I replace, the car has it's original factory paint. It is starting to show it's age but still looks good and gets a lot of thumbs up. The guages all work. The after market gauges give a more informed reading. The speedometer sometimes chatters at low speed. It also shows a lower speed than you are going. The A/C blows cold. The power windows work good ,but drivers control only lets the passenger side window down, not up.The door locks work fine. The cruise control does not work. I tried to get pictures of everthing, but could't get under the car to show the floor. It is solid with no rust. There is a sticker on the radiator support showing this was a show car in the past.I have described the car as honest as I know. If you have questions I will answer them soon. The mileage is questionable. The title states exempt for age of car. I am selling this car now because the clone is nearing completion and I need space and funds. Car is sold as is, where is with no guarantees expressed or implied buyer responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost. buyer to pay 500.00 deposit thru paypal within 24 hrs . balance payable by bank money order within 7 days.car will not be released until funds have cleared my bank. The car failed to sell on the first time around. I have lowered the price and the reserve. Bid to own. It's worth it.
