Vehicle Detail
This is my 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT, extended cab, V6 gasoline engine, 2 wheel drive truck. I bought this 5 or 6 years ago and put about 30-40,000 miles on it driving to work and back on the highway and then hit a deer last year and stopped driving it while the insurance company settled with me. I replaced the headlight on the passenger side but there is a small dent above the light and there are some minor other things like a crack in the grill (but grill is all there) and the front bumper is a bit bent - just look at the pictures and you will see it isn't serious. My knee hit the shift lever when I hit the deer and snapped the end of it off where the cruise control switch is so I am going to try to JB Weld it back on - everything still works it is just the switch is dangling from the end now. Interior is nice gray cloth, headliner is sagging a bit in the very front edge so have some thumbtacks in it. It has an nice new AM/FM CD player my son just installed for me which I will leave in it. One of the back speakers is disconnected as it was blown when I got the truck and I didn't like it crackling. It has a class III 2" receiver hitch on it if you have a small trailer to pull it works great. Tires - It has newer front tires on it, maybe a year or so and it also has very nice (and expensive) studded winter radial snow tires on factory rims. There is an extra set of factory rims with the summer rear tires mounted that go with it but they are pretty worn out. You get 6 alloy rims with this truck. There is also a nice fiberglas topper and a plastic bedliner installed. There is one latch on the topper that doesn't work as I dropped it putting it on or off once and broke it but the other latch holds it just fine. And the two shock struts to hold the door open are good too. One of the side window also opens so you can reach in from the side. The worst thing is that my son was planning on driving this and he took off the leaky muffler and put a new Thrush glass-pack on it so it is pretty loud to drive. If I was going to drive it I would put a regular muffler back on it. Everything else worked when I stopped driving it, horn, lights, signals, power windows, air conditioning, wipers, cruise control, etc. but it will be sold as-is because I haven't used it for the last few months. No foreign bidders, no shipping, sales to 48 contiguous U.S. states only. Deposit via Paypal due within 48 hours, balance of the full payment due in cash before removing the vehicle. I have a clear, current Iowa title. truck must be removed within 14 days unless prior arrangements, and payment in full, is made.
