Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 2001 BMW M Roadster with only 41,000 miles. Only about 1600 of these 2001-2002 cars with the 315 HP S54 engine were made. Laguna Seca Blue is also a vary rare color. At a past BMW Z3/Z4 homecoming, where there were hundreds of cars, there were only three in LS blue. It has Dinan stage 3 software, Dinan High Flow Cold Air Intake/Air Mass Meter System (all 3 should add 15-20 hp). K&R larger anti sway bars (now it really handles). K&R springs (lowered the car about 1 1/2 inches). Koni adjustable shocks and steel braided brake lines (now it really stops). Clutch valve delete (eliminates slow clutch engagement). Front Strong Strut and rear Strong Strut (these two stiffen the chassis). Front camber plates and adjustable bushings in rear suspension (for adjustable camber). Custom M arm rest and stainless shift knob. Randy Forbes installed lower end engine bearings (BMW had a run of bad bearings which they replaced under warranty in the M3s but not in the M Roadsters or M coupes, the old bearings weren’t bad, I had it done as a precautionary measure). Randy Forbes installed rear end sub frame support kit (Stock Z3’s rear end sub frames sometimes pop the spot welds and come apart. It’s a design flaw. The rear deck in the trunk was just starting to warp on this car. Randy’s special kit can solve this problem in all Z3’s). Dual ear, finned differential cover. The engine and chassis should be just about bullet proof now. Clear front corner lights (instead of orange). It would make a great autocross car. I don't even want to add up what I've spent on the improvements and modifications I've had done to this car. I'm the second owner of this car. The original owner was a retired marine in California. My wife and I flew out there and drove it back. I have the documentation from all the work that's ever been done on this car since new. It had a clean carfax when I bought it and I never wrecked it in any way. The car's in excellent condition with a few minor issues appropriate for it's age. All four wheels are in excellent condition with no road rash at all. It's never been in snow and has only seen rain a couple of times. Yes there's some small paint chips on the hood. Sitting this low you're bound to pick up a stone or two. There are some abrasions on the left seat bolster on the driver's back rest from sliding in and out. If you want something that REALLY handles, out accelerates, out brakes, and will out last a run-of-the-mill stock car, this car is for you. If you think you're up to it.
