Vehicle Detail
1984 Mustang GT350. 121,000 miles. It is a true GT350 car but here is the story. I bought this from a mustang collector. He had 2 of these. His daughter wanted one but he did not want to give her a V8 for her first car. So he had 84 LX with 50k on it. He took the V8 out of this car and swapped in a 2.8 V6 auto. I know I was scratching my head too. The car is all stock GT350 except that. The posi rear, shocks and everything else is still original. The body on the car is VERY nice, No rust that I can see. Not sure if it was ever painted. He added the GT350 to the trunk lid. The quarters seem solid. The inside of the doors are solid but there is a little bit of paint rust bleed starting. The floors and underneath of the car look fine. Sunroof is stock and does not leak. Interior is VERY nice,One small rip on the drivers seat but in above average shape The engine swap was done and then his daughter did not want it. So I bought it from him. I had to get the timing set and it runs better now. He used all new belts, hoses and fluids. The car has not been on the road since 2007. It does run and drive but here are the issues. The choke sticks. You can hit the gas to knock it down but it will stick again. But the car runs OK. Also the trans works nice but has a decent leak when driving. I think its coming from the dipstick or one of the lines. I think he didnt tighten something when he put the engine in the car. The fluid leaks onto the exhaust so it isnt a good idea to drive it. When I did drive it it drove straight, brakes worked well,And it didnt wander. The V8 springs are still in it so the V6 is a little light for it. Sometimes you can here the passenger coil spring pop. Not sure why Above all that the car is really nice,I bought it to put a 5.0 back in it but I cant due to a new work schedule. And its too nice to let it sit. It has a clean clear title and is located in Simpson PA 18407. I strongly suggest the winning bidder tow it or trailer it home. Fix the carb and fix the trans leak and you can drive it as is. Or bring it back to a muscle car again. Bidding is starting at $500 NO RESERVE. Winning bidder will own it. Please contact me if you want to see the car earlier which I suggest. Thanks and good luck!!!!!!!!!! $200 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due 24 hours after auction end,No exceptions. Full payment within 7 days.
