Vehicle Detail

1977 Plymouth Roadrunner 2dr 625 hp 73219 actual miles Normally I research the numbers to verify but I have yet to do this. This will be your responsibility to verify. I am told this roadrunner package was one of the last to be made. I am told the sunroof was only put into 100 of them. Please do not let the pictures confuse you. A few of them we took prior to the paint job. Car is now painted beautifully, and has no scratches. In addition to the photos that you will see in this ad, we have a bunch more! For the most part, they are close up pictures of the individual items you will see laid out on the floor in one of the photos we have listed in this ad. In particular i am speaking about the photo where you can see the car in the background prior to it being painted. We took close up pictures of all of these individual items laid out. Send us a message with your email in it if you would like to see them. What you are about to read is a honest attempt to describe a car to you well enough that you can buy it from a distance. Our ebay rating should tell you that we put care into everything we advertise. You may stop over and see this vehicle for yourself up till 6 pm Monday thru Saturday at 2433 Tremainsville rd Toledo Ohio 43613. The automobile is a southern car originally and then stored in a garage since it was brought to this area of the country. A team of brothers started this project properly. They found a solid unique car for their proven winner 625 hp 340 motor. They prepped the car for paint by removing the parts from the car that would have to be off for a nice paint job. They prepped and painted the engine compartment for the engine. . They mounted the motor and sadly this is where one of them caught pneumonia and now it is a year ½ later and he is still not well. This is the reason they sold me the car This is a true opportunity to buy a car which someone else did a ton of work at a greatly reduced price. I was told that everything to put the car together was there other than the rear bumper, carburetor and radiator. Rather than try to inventory everything to verify it I thought it would be more accurate if I showed pictures of the vehicle and the parts that go with it so you could see for yourself what goes with it. There are some spare parts. I have the information I am about to give you from a pretty good source since the person I bought it from is related to me. And this is the information he gave me….. I am going to break it down into categories. The engine-------Possibly the most valuable asset in the car. This is a race engine that was run in a racecar successfully for one season. The engine in this vehicle was built well. In your area of the country you probably know the one machine shop that has been long standing… the one you go to when you want your engine will be in a race car turning huge rpm’s . This is who built his engine. A long standing machine shop that builds winning race motors. I stopped over to this machine shop to see if he remembered the engine which he did. After hearing some conversation about the engine I tried to sum it up with this question….If you were asked to build this engine today how much would you charge…. His answer 7-$8000.00. Here is what is in the engine. This is a 1972 Chrysler 340 motor with the following in it… Eagle steel forged crank, good performance rods from Chrysler. Eagle pistons. 12 ½ to one compression. .030 over competition roller cam, crane rockers, custom h.v. oil pump built by the same machine shop, heads ported and polished, 202 intake 195 exhaust, msd distributor, crank , rods pistons, harmonic bal, balanced., billit aluminum pulleys, h.v. fuel pump. Put to bed properly the valve springs are currently not tight the plugs are out, cylinders fogged , the engine is free and turned regularly. Transmission…. Said to be bad, partially disassembled, some parts are be present to rebuild it. I just stood underneath this car on our rack and wow! Solid is the theme! Surface rust is the worst I can report, steel brake and fuel lines still in great shape. Nuts that till look like you could remove them from bolts. All original solid floor boards. Even in the rear where it be most likely to rust near the rear bumper…..solid! The body……It is solid Straight and solid. I am finding no through rust anywhere. The trunk area…… solid ,,,,,original metal,,,, missing the thinks you would find like the felt, spare tire cover and jack and jack handle. Inside the seats are still in pretty good shape and original. Not perfect though. The carpet is removed and long gone. The headliner is original , intact but misshapen from age. The interior side of the floorboard had very minimal surface rust. That is now gone and the surface is gloss black. The interior has yet to be installed. Glass is all there, trim seems to be all there. What we have done….. We had the car repainted its original color in base and clear coat. A $2000.00 value!A great quality job! It is also wet sanded We wire brushed the bottom of the car and painted it with por-15 It is now beautiful and well preserved.! We also wire brushed the inside of the floor pan and painted it gloss black. Surface rust was the worst we found throughout. If I were seeking a hot rod which somebody else did a proper beginning to the job for me I would choose this one !!!!!!!
