Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a Super Rare 1961 Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck. It is already rare to see a Classic VW around town but a Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck is almost unheard of. Show Car perhaps not but very close. Imagine driving a respectable every-day a Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck. What is a Single Cab Truck you might ask….Well imagine, you can drive it and do minor hauling from point A to point B. With the custom Canvas Top and Custom Hoop Frame, you can protect items from the hot sun. This is plus cool factor over regular single cab trucks. The drops down sides make this Truck very easy to put larger items on like a flat bed. All the newer trucks will follow suite but our buddies at Volkswagen have been making these over a decades ago. Exterior: This Single Cab was painted two tones….Chestnut Brown with engine fire red….to one of the original colors VW produced. All doors close and open with ease as the VW original roll and down window as well. The truck bed is solid but since it’s a daily driver it does show dents “wear and tear”. The gates are solid as well. Remember, this is a 51+ year old car so there are body works here and there. The truck sits on 15” Porsche 356 style rims that just give it more attention….like it needs it? Oh yes, this is a double treasure chest belly. Both sides open to get easy access to all your precious hidden belongings. Interior: Pretty much New. I went with the decision to go with the stand Black Seat but with custom brown wood panels. This brings a more vintage feel but yet kept with the original theme. The headliner, front seats, rear seats, door panels have no rips. One of the most amazing features that work is the interior dome light. This is a standard feature in today’s car but ask any VW fanatic and they tell you this is a major wow factor. Electrical: The front bullet signal works. It signals and since it’s an older truck you do need to bring it back to non signal. The rear signal and brakes works perfectly. The running lights are working properly. The window wipers do not work but I live in California so I did not have much used for it. The Front brakes are new with new hoses and cylinders. In the rear, sits the 1776 engine and it starts up every single time. Underneath is a double twin clean exhaust is characteristics of a Volkswagen beetle reverberation that you can take notice miles away. One must warm it up, just like all air-cooled VW, and drive off for the rest of the day. The frame is solid and there is no visible rust anywhere. All slide and rear windows are the originals stamped OEM Volkswagen glass. The VW Single cab is a one of many variants of the VW Eurovan and its predecessor the VW Transporter, identifiable by its cab-style pickup truck body and drop-sides on the pickup bed. The classic scene represents no particular type of individual, and the cars are as distinctive as the people who possess them. One motivation for the obsession of the Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck could be its connection with the fifties, sixties, seventies and all the implication that go with that. The vintage Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck represents a simple, less complex time. What is positively true about the vintage scene, as it is about the characteristic of “be the owner” of a Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck , is that it's about way of existence. “Be the owner” of a Volkswagen Transporter Bus Truck is more than merely owning a means of driving, and the people who buy and restore and drive original Volkswagen purchase into a total experience. *****************For search engine**************** (early, oval, rare, old, parts convertible, vw, antique, vintage, classic, collector, hot item, Volkswagen, vw, split, sedan, accessory, empi, judson, bus, bug, beetle, 1, 2 You will not find a Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Bus Truck for this Price with this condition!!!
