1971 Ford Maverick - 5.0L V8 Mustang Cobra Powertrain - Fuel Injected! Up for sale is a 1971 Ford Maverick retrofitted with a 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra 5.0l V8 powertrain. Before retrofitting the new engine, the car was completely stripped down and the entire body was professionally restored entirely. There is absolutely no rust whatsoever and the body of the car looks same as new. The engine was completely revised before being dropped in and runs new. The car the engine came from had only 78,000 miles and has a dual exhaust system with chrome tips. The transmission is a 5-speed T5 and is also in excellent condition. The car was converted from 4 lug nuts to 5 lug nuts with all four slotted brake rotors and power brakes. The front wheels are 17 inches and the rear 18. The front power seats also came from the same Mustang Cobra. The taillights were imported from Brazil from the original Brazilian Maverick Phase II. The stripe kit was also imported from Brazil and was applied to the body before the several last clear coats were applied! Nice black interior with no cracks on the dash, headliner or any other liner, and the original roof vinyl is also in mint condition! Autometer coolant temperature, voltage and oil pressure instrument gauges. I'm only selling the car because I am buying my first house and need more money for a down payment.
