For sale a 1979 Fiat Spider 2000 Pininfarina. This vehicle is in running condition. This car has only had one owner. My family bought it new. We love this car, but have had problems with it passing california smog. Very sad to see it go. It is currently not on the road, LIVES IN THE GARAGE. ALWAYS HAS. We decided to register it as a non-op. In the past we had to get it tuned every time we needed to get it smogged then it barley passed..then would have it tuned back to its normal state. This did not make for a happy car. I expect someone out of state will want this baby for their own. Accurate mileage on the car. OD does not go to 100,000. We flipped it… you must add 100,000 to the mileage on these older Fiats. There is a bit of RUST on a few spots of the car. It is most apparent on the driver side mirror, other spots it is under the paint a bit. This car is not a restoration, it's all original except for the top(FROM A 1980 MODEL). Mechanically in good working condition. We have made repairs over the years but have made no modifications to it. The car has manual windows. This car has NO AC..never did. The top is in great condition was replaced 8 years ago, with a small rub spots..expected with use. NO POWER STEERING! THIS CAR IS ALMOST ALL MECHANICAL. BASICALLY NO POWER ANYTHING. All 4 tires are Pirelli, good condition(near new as far as I can tell), probably 80% left. Engine is smooth, plenty of power, no noises, no leaks. Transmission shifts perfect, no grinds in any gears. Few "problem areas" to me from a cosmetically point of view: There is a chip in the windshield. The center console near the emergency brake has some wear, showing age, this does not affect use of heat levers or emergency brake. Drivers side mirror fell out when on a drive.(we do NOT have the mirror.) Latch for driver side mini window needs to be reattached(we will send you the part and you can reattach…see pic.) Horrible sound from the stereo…small speakers. Star marks & scratches in the paint(SEE PICS). NO MAJOR DENTS..BUT IT MUST BE KNOWN THAT THIS CAR MAY HAVE A FEW TINY DINGS OT SCRATCHES THAT I MAY HAVE MISSED. WE DID OUR BEST TO SPOT THEM ALL. All in all, a very low mileage Fiat, in working condition.
