Vehicle Detail

2002 TOYOTA SOLARA SE This vehicle has served me well. I am the second owner of the car. I've done regular oil changes and maintenance. As with many cars at this level of mileage, it needs some mechanical work (see below). I am selling as-is, regardless of price. I represent and warrant that the car has never been in any accident. There has been absolutely no body work done to the vehicle. The car runs and drives well. The engine is good. The transmission shifts smoothly. All electronics inside work -- AM/FM/CD Player/Cassette, JBL Speakers, Power Seats, Sunroof, Cruise Control etc. The car is loaded. Windows have a very dark privacy tint - you can't see inside. I inherited this from the previous owner (a lady). Tires have more than 75% of tread left. The Brakes are also recent. I have detailed the car. It is very clean inside. Ready to move. Full Disclosures: As indicated, this car needs some work. The MIL Light is on. I have taken the car to a mechanic who has advised me that the following codes are currently on: P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency P0441 - Evap - Incorrect purge flowP0446 - Evap - Vent Control Circuit[Car previously registered an Small Evap Leak, however, I had changed the Gas Cap and it seems to have remedied that code as it is not appearing]. The Airbag light is on. I understand that this is common for these cars, and can be addressed easily. There is also a tooting noise of unknown origin. Perhaps a little grease will do. That's all. NYS Inspection is good through December-2012. The last time I had the car inspected (Dec-2011), I was advised to reset the codes to see if they would set again. I did so. I drove the car for about 100 miles, and they remained off and the OBDII indicated it was OK to inspect. I took it in for inspection and it passed. The MIL light later came back on. I understand now that the above codes take a while to set. The car is otherwise a beauty. This line has been discontinued -- it's a shame because it is probably one of the finest looking Toyota products ever made -- particularly this generation Solara. As far as the body goes, there's some dings and scratches here and there, commensurate with the age of the vehicle, all minor. See photos below for further detail. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! Bidding starts at $100. Whatever the final bid price is - the car will sell at. I have disclosed everything with regards to this vehicle. With a little tuning up and some work on this vehicle, you will have yourself a sweet looking ride. These cars last to at least 300k miles. GOOD LUCK! The car is available for local pickup only. Note: Full Size Spare Michelin Tire Some minor cosmetic blemishes: Only the paint on the left side mirror is worn off Scratch, can be buffed Some dings
