this van has been owned by my wife and i for the past 5 years. We are non-smokers who love this van and know you will too! i drove from upstate new york to the state of washington to obtain this apartment on wheels. it sleeps 4 (5 if you buy optional kid hamock). it has awning off of sliding door, pop up sunroof, deep-cell battery (for runnin stuff when van is off), it has roof bars and travel topper(not pictured). it has the sprayer in the rear that newer models don't have. As with all campers it has 2 burner stove, thermostat controlled furnace and fridge, all powered by under chassi propane tank. fridge and electrical can also be run by plugging right into wall outlet. The front seats swivel to create a 4 seat dining area with pop-up tabel. All blinds are in working order and i have the factory-attachable sunscreen that blacks out front windows. poptop screans and canvas all good. The van is front wheel drive and i have a set of chains i purchased "just in case". This van is an automatic transmitiion, and we have the optional 3d row seat so you can haul up to seven people! Engine: Runs great. 5cylinder Audi engine gives power with gas milage. Body: For a 17 year old vehicle...solid. There is a "smear dent" on the passenger front door (pictured and barely noticable). there is also a similar dent on driver door. there are the usual paint scratches and ware along with a one inch rust spot where you cant see inbetween the wipers. Interior: No major issues. The VW people used tough materials with timeless looks. Overall: the van is rare, cool and turns heads. i would probably give my van an 8 on a scale of one to ten. however...with a little elbow grease and body touches it could be a ten! i will try to get more pictures online soon. i would expect $500 down within 3 days of auction ending and the balance within 7 days. thanks for looking!
