Vehicle Detail
1953 Studebaker Starlight Commander Tri-Star Coupe This is a 1953 Tri-Star Loewy Coupe. It has the Tri-Star emblems which were later removed from production because of conflicts with MBZ. It is totally complete and very original with all the original trim and correct parts. The seats were reupholstered in the original fashion with the gray color cloth. The exterior was repainted once with the original color, Maui Blue. The body is incredibly rust free. The floors and trunk are perfectly solid, zero rot. The body is straight and the paint is still in fair condition. There is one primer spot on the passenger rear quarter panel by the tail light. The rest of the body is in really nice condition. No major dents. All the chrome, Tri-Star emblems, and trim are in good condition and complete. Bumpers could be rechromed. The car is wearing the non Tri-Star smoothie hub caps. The original Tri-Star caps are in the trunk, they also come with the car. The inside is in very good condition. The dash is also very nice with all original gauges and knobs. This is an original V8 automatic with everything under the hood complete. The car has been stored indoors for over five years. It has been recently started and engine runs. Carburator and fuel system will need attention. Brake pedal feels firm and strong. It has current California pink slip, title. Not many of these beauties in this condition come up for sale too often.
