For Sale: 1966 VW Beetle Custom I now have too many cars in the family and not enough garage space, so this little beauty has got to go. This is a show quality 1966 VW Beetle that has been totally resto-rodded, but very tastefully. The car has 248 miles put on it since I completed it. I have hundreds of photos taken during the restoration process and the restoration is documented. I can send links to the site where it is documented upon request. This was a full pan off restoration with no bolt untouched. Only top quality parts were used through-out, no cheap crap. It has a dual Weber new 2110 stroker motor (built from all new parts, no rebuilt) that is estimated at about 155 HP. I have close to $7000 in the engine alone! The car has full air ride suspension from AirKewld, as well as an AirKewld Ultimate Beam and full AirKewld Badd Series Disc Brakes front and rear. It has a new Pro-Street transmission with a 4:12 R&P from Chirco and HD axles. The wheels are chrome Foose Legends 18 x 7 in the rear and 17 x 7 front, riding on Hercules tires 205/40ZR18 in the front and 215/35ZR18 in the rear. There is absolutely zero rust as it was all removed and repaired as required. The stock heating system has been removed. The car has a 540 watt electric heater under the driver side front seat. The interior is all new from SewFine in Texas. There are many custom touches, such as the custom front console housing the air ride switches and gauges, as well as the power window and power door lock switch. That is correct, it has power suicide style door locks. There is also a custom front and rear drink holder. The full compliment of gauges are custom from New Vintage USA and include a speedometer with turn signal indicators, alternator charge light and brights indicator. Other gauges are oil temperature, fuel, voltmeter, oil pressure and tach. The car is fully rewired 12 volts with modern wiring and fuse panel and has LED tail lights as well. I intended to install AC as a longer term project, and in order to finish the interior I went ahead and installed the interior evaporator unit and have it wired up and plumbed to the front firewall. The remaining AC components have not been purchased or installed, so you still have something else to finish if AC is desired, otherwise having the fan portion is nice. This bug runs strong and is a blast to drive. I have kept the majority of the receipts for everything purchased for the car. I have close to $21,000 in it in parts alone and nothing for the labor, since I did it all. There is a reserve, however I am a realist and it is fairly low considering what I have in it. The car has a clear title and is sold "As Is", since I am an individual and not a business, so there is no warranty.
