Vehicle Detail

I legally inherited this Vanagon. I am currently waiting to get the title. The interior is in very nice condition. The cook top, sink and fridge have never been used and appear like new. Stereo and all speakers work. The vehicle runs fine but may need some work over time. Will probably need tires for serious buyer. Pop up top works great. There are no tears or rips anywhere. Cabinets are all very clean. The van does need some minor body work as there are some small dings around the van and the bumpers have been dented. There is no rust anywhere. The original owner bought this Vanagon in 1985 in California and it was kept well by him. Depending on distance shipping is possible and anybody interested should contact me after Monday the 2nd of April as I will find out more about the title. I have listed it to see if anyone within a reasonable distance is interested. On Apr-05-12 at 10:17:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Update on this Van. I was best friends with this man for 2 years. I have been asked many questions. Somebody asked if anybody smoked in it. My friend never smoked, but maybe 20 years ago he and some of his celebrity friends, and he had many of them, rolled up the windows one night and smoked 10 joints letting that lovely scent permeate into the soft fabric of the interior. I dont know. The interior is close to mint. No rips, tears, stains, odors, no cigarette burns, no dog or cat pee since he never owned pets or had kids or a wife, but the there were girlfriends and lots of them and still no stains. Mechanically, it starts up and runs smoothly and as I believe sounds like any other VW. It Roars. Yes, there appears to be some new parts under the hood if you want to call it that. The oil and filter are new. Looks like a new cap. Wires? They look new. The bottom line is there are some receipts of work done over the years. The usual stuff like brakes, oil changes and all that.......This VW is very real, a good deal, very clean, it is being sold As Is. It will need 2 new tires on the front. The rear tires have good tread and may last longer. The heat seems to work and the air I know nothing about other than it does not blow out cold air. I don't touch or no anything about air cond. There is a spare tire under the front end. The bottom line is, buying any car, new or used is an adventure. Even new cars break down. Can this VW travel a long distance with no problems. I don't know. It has only been driven less than 20 miles in the last year. because my friend became ill last April then past away later last year. It was driven 10 miles to my home and I have started it up and run it around the block several times to keep it moving. For any serious buyer who really likes these VW's, this is a great Van to go on adventures with and to give it a little more love so it will last for many more years. I was seriously thinking of keeping it, but have too many other projects going on.
