Vehicle Detail

I recently took possession of this fastback and although I considered keeping it as an investment since these things seem to be skyrocketing in value, I do not have the room for it. I do not know much about this car or have any history on this car. The car runs and drives well with no major rattles, knocks, or leaks. The paint overall is a 7 out of 10. It looks good even up close, but you can see some sanding scratches below the paint especially on the quarters and there are a few nicks here and there. It is shiny with no dents or dings and looks fairly straight. The car has had some rust repair in its life and there are a few places where it still needs repair, but the car overall is solid. This car makes a great drivers car that you can immediately enjoy without any major work. The car has manual drum brakes and steering, and the suspension looks to be fairly original. The car tracks straight and stops. The interior looks to have been mostly restored with newer seats, carpet, headliner, ect. The plastic parts look to be original. The chrome looks mostly new throughout. I expect the car could be driven across country, but is old and who knows what could fail, so I can’t guarantee that. I recommend that any potential buyer look at the car before bidding and I will facilitate that in any way I can. This car is being sold in the state of Colorado with a Colorado title. If the buyer chooses to ship the car, it is his responsibility and should the buyer be dissatisfied with the car for whatever reason and wish to return it, it is his responsibility to get the car back to Colorado before I will consider any refund. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability, but I am not a professional. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. On Mar-31-12 at 11:49:29 PDT, seller added the following information: There are a few things that do not work on the car. The tac and clock do not appear to be hooked up. The turn signals work, but do not automatically turn off as you rotate the wheel. The reverse lights do not turn on when the car is in reverse. The heater motor does not turn on and the original radio does not seem to work. Finally the only major thing that does not work is the fuel guage. It worked as of a couple weeks ago, but suddenly started reading full all the time. The rest of the guages and lights seem to work fineOn Apr-01-12 at 13:01:56 PDT, seller added the following information: As we go along and I have more people interested in this car and asking different questions, here are some of the answers. The cars data plate on the drivers door is missing. The Vin # is stamped on the inner fender and I have pictures if you need. It looks like the floor pans where replaced. One prospective buyer complained that the paint was more of a 6 out of ten.
