Vehicle Detail
1968 Dodge Charger - VIN XP29H8B165895 NO RESERVE - The highest bidder gets the car I am selling this car for a good friend of mine. I have a clean title in my hand. To be best of my knowledge: I am myself a classic car enthusiast and I have to say that this Charger is in beautiful condition. The body of the car is not the usual Charger body where you will find a lot of bondo. I checked the typical rust areas on this car and I couldn't find any bondo. If you look underneath the car or in the trunk you will find some surface rust but no cancer or rust holes. I was pretty amazed. Its a long time ago when I saw the last time such a honest Charger like this one. Nothing is hidden under a thick black undercoating. The paint is in good condition with some minor blemish. As far as I know was this car repainted once and they did a good, decent job. The car was disassembled when it got a new coat of paint. I couldn't find any paint on the trim, chrome, or anywhere else. The Vinyl top is new without any rips. The chrome is in decent condition. The interior is in good condition. No rips in the headliner or in the seats. The dashboard is also good. The radio is missing. All gauges are in working order - even the clock still works. The odometer could use some adjusting - the needle is jumping. Windshield wipers are working. The headlight-covers are going up and down. The one on the drivers side has sometimes problems to go up correctly. The lights are all working. The turn signal on the front passenger side is not working but all other work fine. One cover for the turn signals in the hood is missing. All glass looks very good. The car was born with a 383ci engine. Now it has a 440ci engine in it. I checked the block# and it appears that this engine came out of a 67 Dodge. The car runs great but gets a little bit to hot after driving it for a while. I was told that the trim around the fan is missing and a new trim should resolve the problem. The oil pressure is very good. The car sounds very powerful. The car has PS - works good and PB - brakes are good. Its not a $100k frame off restoration car - but overall this Charger is in good condition. Its a very presentable driver and you can take it without a doubt to any car show. I can send you a link to a photobucket album where you will find a lot of photos incl. the fender tag. I can help with national or international shipping. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 239-851-0249 or send an email to rostfrei99@gmail.com - ich spreche deutsch. The car is located in my garage in Ft. Myers, Florida. All inspections are welcome. Please bid only if you have the funds ready. This is a no reserve auction and this car will be sold. If you want to finance this car please make sure that you get approved. I will accept cash, cashier check and a wire transfer. The car wont leave my garage until all funds has cleared. Happy bidding. Somebody out there will be very happy with this 68 Charger.
