However, the owner was so particular about having the vehicle serviced every 5,000 miles that he set the trip odometer once he reached the 299,999 mileage mark and came in for his last service at 485 miles; so the car in reality has about 300,486 miles on it. It would be hard to find a better maintained 2005 Prius anywhere. In addition to special care taken by the previous owner, all special service campaigns or any recalls have been completed at Toyota dealerships. During our service and inspection to make this Prius available for sale on Ebay, our technicians took measurements of the tires and brakes so that the new owner will know where they stand with respect to these common wear items. The four matching Michelin tires are evenly worn at 7/32" while the front brake pads measured at 8mm and the rears at 3mm. The rear brake shoes may need replacing in the near future but you should still be able to drive with them for a while and are completely safe. Cosmetically this car is remarkably sound when you consider the mileage. Typically, cars with this amount of highway mileage are heavily "peppered" with stone chips.
