.:: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ::. You are bidding on a USED 2002 Ford F350 XLT Super Duty Crew Cab pickup with a 7.3L Diesel v8 (Short bed). A I purchased this truck about 6 months ago from a auction in Utah. I purchased it online and when I was bidding they had it listed at 128k miles, when I got the title it had 200k on it and when I got the truck it had 306821 miles on it. I decided to sell it because I have ended up buying my dads low mileage f350. When I got the truck I cleaned it up and since its been sitting its time for me to sell it. The miles are high but I found out that the previous owner had a rigging company and this was their "wide load" truck. Basically if you ever see a company hauling a wide load there is usually a truck in in front or in back of the semi that is hauling the wide load sign. It has some fasteners on top most likely for the wide load sign. Also had some extra switches which are not operational anymore. The truck is 10 years old and NOT NEW so it has its fair share of SCRATCHES AND SCUFFS ALONG WITH WEAR AND TEAR. I had the truck shipped to me from Utah so I have not driven it on the highway. I replaced tha sway bar links because they were loose along with the sway bar bushings. Personally I think it will need ball joints and tie rods plus alignment. There are a few sellers on Ebay that sell the entire kit for about $185 shipped, just search ebay for ball joint and tie rod kit for 2002 f350 4x4. The front tires were "cut" on a angle because the driver side hub was bad. I replaced the hub on it so now it sits straight but will still need ball joints and tie rods. The headlights were also replaced because the original were yellow and turn signals were cracked so I replaced the headlights and turn signals. The passenger fender was replaced because it was banged up. Drivers seat has a tear on it and I noticed that the heat only blows on the window so it may be a fuse or something. The rear tailgate does not open because the handle is broken so there is not way to open unless you replace the handle. The bed has spray in bedliner. When I got it I found receipts from Utah and New Mexico so this was a truck that was not exposed to the winter salts of the upper states. I am in Chicago and have seen 02 trucks with fenders rusted thru and this one is nice and pretty much rust free. Please look at the picture of the door and you will not see any rust on the bottom, the frame also is free or major rust. If it has anything it would be minor surface rust. I pressure washed the undercarriage but there is still some Utah clay on it when I looked at it a few days ago. If you are looking for a rust free souther truck this is the one for you. I will tell you that the 7.3 motor looks like it was very well taken care of. It actually sounds better that my brothers 7.3 which has 240k miles. I did noticed that it had the alternator already replaced. One of my brothers friends works on Semi trucks and he was impressed with the way the motor ran. And if you look up powerstroke help on youtube the guy will tell you that these things with proper maintenance can last a long time because he had one that lasted 800k. This thing started up right away in cold weather. This truck does NOT have any of the cold start issues like a lot of 7.3's do. The glow plug system works like it should. The truck does not smoke and you can hear the turbo spool. I took the truck around the lot so I only took it up to 30 mph because I dont have this truck plated. The truck has been sitting for almost a year and I would start it up once in a while to let it warm up. Because it has been sitting it will smoke very lightly for about a minute or two before it clears up. This truck needs to be driven not parked. When I got it originally it never did that. Ok so I think that I have explained most of the good and bad so now please look at the below video and all the pics that I took of the truck. When I purchased it in Utah I was bidding online and only had 2 pictures that I had. You have a TON more pics so you will see exactly what you are buying. As with all 10 year old vehicles this has no warranty and is SOLD AS IS. I originally purchased this because I thought it had 128k but even though it has more miles the engine really does sound like it did have 128k. I have a clean and clear IL title in hand but the truck is in my brothers garage in Griffith IN. Please remember that they stopped making the 7.3 in early 2003 and mid 2003 were already the 6.0 powerstrokes. The 7.3 is one of the best International motors ever made. The only engine that is able to compete is the original 12 valve 5.9 cummins made from 89 to 98. Now if you are worried about the miles then this truck may not be right for you. What you probably need to do is go to a dealer and he can get you a low mileage 7.3 for about 17K to 25K. My reserve is very LOW compared to the Kelly Blue Book values. Yes it has more miles but what matters most is MAINTENANCE. The replacement fender came from a Lariat so that is why it has the gold strip on bottom. Also added wind deflector on front hood. Both front headlights and turn signals replaced. Old ones had were yellow and tabs were broke on turn signals so replaced both sides. Replaced passenger side running board. Old one was cracked and damaged. So now looks better. Also you will see the fender that was replaced. Door has minor damage from old fender. Replacement fender just needs to be buffed. Has residue from duct tape. Looks better with replaced running board, fender, lights. Front windshield is cracked so will need to be replaced. Engine block heater works. Tow mirrors. Mirror missing piece. Bed is kinda banged up overall. Tailgate does not open because the handle is broke. Tailgate does not open because handle is broke Some paint that became loose.
