Vehicle Detail
1951 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Hot Rod or Rat Rod, whichever you prefer. This Truck is a driver. It came out of North Georgia, so it is pretty solid. The Truck appears to have several layers of Paint. I have no idea how many, but the one you see is definitely not the first! Close up, you can see cracks in the layers of Paint, from age. I believe the original color was Blue. The inside of the Truck is Blue. It has Blue Carpet and Blue Seats out of a 70s era Ford and the Steering Column out of the same or similar vehicle. It is a Locking Column and Has the old Two Sided Ford Key. This Truck was restored several years ago and was driven daily. Recently, it was given the Worn Paint and Simulated Patina, all over and the cool Door Logos. This truck has a cool shop worn look everyone is looking for in a Vintage F-1, however, the patina and Door Logos are new and not original to the truck. The Body on this truck is good. There are some dents and dings, but little rust. The dent and dings add to the shop worn look. I do not know what engine the Truck had originally. It now has a Small Block Ford, 289 with a Two Barrel Carburetor and 3 Speed Automatic Transmission with the shifter on the Column. The Engine starts easily and runs good. It has full exhaust and sounds great when idling! The Truck has Power Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs well and Shifts through the Gears with no problems. The Truck has been upgraded to 12 Volts. The Lights work and the Instrument Lights work, but the Factory Gauges do not. There are aftermarket gauges, mounted under the Dash. This Truck is fun to drive and get lots of looks and thumbs up, wherever it goes. This truck is very solid. The Cab is solid. The Dashboard is solid, but has been cut to allow installation of a modern Radio. There is no Radio. There is a Factory Ford Heater, but it is not hooked up. The Floors are solid. The Cab Corners are solid. The Roof and Rear of Cab are solid. The Doors are solid, but may also have some dings, minor rust, filler and layers of old Paint. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass is good, but the Window doesn't roll up and down correctly. It will need some attention. The Passenger Door Glass is broken, but rolls up and down. The Doors open and close and latch well. You have to reach outside the cab to open the Driver's Door, with the Door Handle. This could also use some attention. The Running Boards are good and solid. The Front Fenders are good and solid but have some rust at the seams and some Body Filler. The Passenger Front Fender has a Dent at the Rear. The Hood is very solid and has Stainless Steel and Chrome Trim. The Grill is solid. It is missing the Front Running Lights. These can be purchased through several aftermarket companies. The Front Bumper was Shaved and the Front Valence was filled. The Rear Fenders are good and solid but have minor dents and dings. The Bed of the Truck has what looks like Hardwood Flooring, for the Floor. The Tail Gate is solid and nice, but the Chains are not original. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. This Shop Worn, Faded look is hard to reproduce, but was done very nicely. This is the look Hot Rodders and Rat Rodders are sporting at the local Drive Ins. The truck has a set of 15" Aluminum Aftermarket wheels and nice Radial Tires that look new. This truck is a driver and can probably be driven anywhere. Since I have never had this truck on a long trip, so I am advising the new owner to tow it home. This is your option. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
