1965 Ford MustangConvertible GT350 Clone to be sold NO RESERVE! VIN 5R08F102432 Let's win some shows! This Rust-free car is from California and I have owned it for the last 12 years. Original V8 motor with performance intake and Holly 4 banger carb.Car came with factory power brakes, power steering, and factory air! New Y headers for great sound. 1965 had some poor designs which were remedied here for safety and performance. 1. Old ford squeeks in front end are not possible. Custom Mustang shop installed a complete Heidt's Mustang front end which includes rack & pinion steering combined with coil over suspension. (Thus shock towers and squeaks are gone!) Handling like a late model. Single stage brake res. now has double for safety along with power brakes. Poor braking lead us to install over-sized 15 inch disc brakes in front! Points and condenser replaced with electronic ignition for reliability. Belt fan replaced with electric thermostatic fans for more power. Rotary compressor replaces old air compressor.This pony can also now handle any new style Cobra engine as there is room with the new front end. Rebuilt auto tranny shifts perfect and has a quick shift kit installed.Now for the interior. New Pony seats with all new seat buns go nice with wood Cobra wheel. I also put a tilt steering column in while installing the rack & pinion. Center console is aftermarket but nice. Carpet is new. Custom Autosound made speaker kick panels for the stereo, which is also the controller for the multi-disc cd changer in trunk. Now for the exterior. Shelby hood with metal bracing is perfect and matches the Shelby front lower cowling which pushes air to the engine. Rear California Special style trunk and end caps. The paint is less than 2 years old and flawless on the arrow-straight car. Billet aluminum tail lights and matching cobra gas cap.The power top works great but I don't care for the steel blue color of the convertible top. It is the only part of the car I did not change out, many because I don't put the top up. With the slightest of detailing, this car should win your local Mustang show This car is being shown locally, and the seller reserves the right to pull from auction should it be sold locally. I would really recommend coming out and seeing this car prior to bidding, as with any used car, it is being sold "as is" and "where is". Finally, the reason car is being sold is it is just too nice to park at the owner's restaurant. (I just can't let someone door-ding it) Car is being auctioned "no reserve" with a minimal opening bid required. This car will be sold in 6 days!!
