1967 Mercedes Benz 230SL 113042-12-017265 Originally Purchased New by a Avionics Company in Brooklyn New York 10/6/1966 as wedding gift for the owners wife, then it was sold in the 80's to the last registered owner and is being sold from his estate. Signal Red with a black interior and Soft top only. Was recently brought out of storage and after Fluids and filters changed, runs and drives well. Engine runs smooth and auto transmission shifts nicely. Overall the car is very solid and has been well maintained. The mileage appears original and based on some earlier documents it was showing 31,800 in 1987 and 40,000 miles in 1993, Odometer currently shows 42,412 and is in working order as is all the gauges except the fuel gauge. The paint is a older respray that is showing its age and has some crazing and minor imperfections as well as minor chips and dings. Otherwise Very solid car with some minor corrosion showing on the rear valance, the under carriage is very original and appears very solid. Interior appears original and is showing some minor wear. The carpet has some fraying behind the drivers seat area, Soft top is in very good condition and rear window is clear. Dash is very good and wood trim looks original and in good condition. A aftermarket stereo has been fitted but does not work. The gauges including speedometer and odometer are in working order, all other gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge.
