this is a 1965 original dodge dart gt-convertible- this car was restored about 14 years ago- then it sat pretty much since- at the time the motor was rebuilt as well with high performance parts- the motor is a 340ci with a really nice holley dominator and a aluminum weind high rise intake- the car is currently not running-it needs the distributor replaced- or fixed-this was a 1 owner car literally in a barn in maine- i heard the motor run for about an hour- drove the car around the block tranny shifted fine for sitting so long- motor was powerful-felt like 300-325 horse-even needing a tune up- i then parked the car for about 2 years- i finally got back to the car and it had no spark- so after a few weeks of tinkering here and there i have it down to the distributor for sure- the wiring from te previous owner was not done right when he upgraded from points to electronic ignition- other than that the motor is in excellent condition the body of the car is in fair shape- not really much surface rust- a few very small spots here and there- no major dents - body is overall very straight -all gt insignia is there- chrome is all there and in decent shape-some needs to be straightened-car is painted red with black racing stripes paint is in good shape and still shines well-i bought the car for my wife but i just have no interest in it- i am a chevy man- the frame is in good shape with some sitting age but nothing crazy-- the car comes with a brand set of leaf springs and ubolts the car needs a complete covertible top-the top frame is in fine shape-the motor and mechanism are also fine- the frame opens and closes fine- the interior needs work-front seats are decent- back seats need to be recovered- pretty much all the floors are 100% solid except a few very minor areas that are starting to wear from sitting- the dash needs repainting and cleaning up needs inner door skins- the instrument panel is all original- missing a few knobs but all there- car has 26,634 original miles- front end has been updated to a disc brake system- car is very solid and very original- and a very cool looking ride- i just ran the car last week in a 5 day auction and it went to thirty one hundred- i have adjusted the reserve much lower being i need to sell the car- i will deliver this vehicle for a good price only within local states- ill go to ct-ma-nh-maybe maine-other than that buyer is responsible for shipping-please only bid if you have the money for the car and intend on following through with the whole sale- i am a easy guy to deal with-and as long as the car gets paid for you can keep it at my house for up to 30 days to plan shipping if needed the car comes with certified dealer paperwork good in all 50 states-
